Prosthetic Records is pleased to announce the signing of Italian death metal leaders HOUR OF PENANCE to the label.

Forged in the dark shadows of "The Holy Capital", this most unholy of quartets have steadily been making a name for themselves as one of the most intense, talented and impressive, both in the studio & live onstage, modern death metal bands around. And to hear the evidence, you just need to blast last year's 'Paradogma' album on Unique Leader and you will know exactly what we mean.

Currently writing their Prosthetic debut , HOUR OF PENANCE will again spread their plague of destruction across the clubs and festivals of Europe as part of a major tour throughout June and July with DEICIDE, BELPHEGOR and THE AMENTA (See tour dates below).

In the meantime, HOUR OF PENANCE commented on the signing, "This is a very important opportunity for Hour of Penance and a big reward for almost 10 years of activity of this band. We're very proud to be part of the Prosthetic records family and we're eager to start working with such a great label. A new label, a new line up and of course a new album which is obviously in the works and will be recorded soon... expect a new HOUR OF PENANCE album this year and of course be prepared! We will tour as much as we can in 2011!"

Unleashing a likely tour de force in maniacal death metal brutality, a celebration of music in it's darkest and most inhuman form and with a brand new worldwide signing to Prosthetic Records, HOUR OF PENANCE have ascended to an even greater height of precision and savagery. Every population has its cancer, every movement its enemies. Be the wolf amongst the flock. Embrace the barbarity!

This band is awesome. They would have made more sense signing to Candlelight or something. Prosthetic is a weird label sometimes.

Good for them. This band is great. Hopefully they get more US exposure and tour more.

...because candlelight signs death metal bands? not really, but prosthetic does.

pretty surprised that they stepped up the label. theyve had so much lineup trouble lately.

...and if fleshgod apocalypse is on summer slaughter this year (which they are), then the likelyhood of HOP being on it is high.
