World- renowned metal band A LIFE ONCE LOST is pleased to announce their new label home, SEASON OF MIST, who will be releasing the band’s promising upcoming summer 2011 release. SEASON OF MIST is home to many impressive international acts such as Atheist, Cynic, Dillinger Escape Plan, Kylesa, Mayhem, Morbid Angel, and Watain.

The band is currently finishing up the writing process, and are about to begin recording in Philadelphia. Paul Romano (Mastodon, Trivium, The Red Chord), designer of the album art for previous A LIFE ONCE LOST records Hunter and Iron Gag, is confirmed to illustrate the album art. Learn more about the band’s new label and album at their brand new website, www.alolmetal.com.

“After over a year and a half of working on this record and setback after setback we can finally announce that it is coming out on SEASON OF MIST in 2011,” affirms guitarist Doug Sabolick. “Taking time away from the road helped us look at the band from an outside perspective, which then helped mold a record that encompasses our collective mood over the past few years in typical ALOL fashion. Musically, the theme of this record is to pummel the listener into submission via ignorant riffs. We are finishing writing and demo-ing as we speak and look forward to working hand in hand with SEASON OF MIST to deliver our vision to the masses.”

“SEASON OF MIST is proud to welcome U.S. metallurgists A LIFE ONCE LOST to the roster,” states Guillaume Rochard of SEASON OF MIST. “As a label, we have been striving to be open to more modern and varied styles of metal and ALOL embodies the crowning achievement of that endeavor. And as people, we’re just fans of the band!”

“As a manager, it’s exciting to work with A LIFE ONCE LOST. We worked together on their Ferret Music debut as PR and I have watched the band grow as individuals and as artists,” adds manager Maria Ferrero, owner of Miss Management and Adrenaline PR. “A LIFE ONCE LOST has definitely made their mark, and now I'm even more excited to be a part of this era of the ALOL evolution.”

A LIFE ONCE LOST is also thrilled to announce their upcoming run with technical metal kings Atheist. In addition, Revocation and Last Chance to Reason will appear on the tour. See below for all current tour dates.

This is not a good band but if that tour adds dates and swings by here I'd go for Atheist & Revocation.

I liked Meshuggah Jr.'s early stuff.. I'd be interested to see what the new one sounds like... the statement:
"Musically, the theme of this record is to pummel the listener into submission via ignorant riffs" is intriguing in it's silliness.

I'd have to say I enjoyed A Great Artist. Fourth Plague kills it though.

it might be the "open your mouth" record that rusty mentioned, but i got a full length from them in '99 at the NJ meltdown, they said it was before the fourth plaugue

that's it...record is still awesome, but at the same time, disappointing because they let their talent go to waste by emulating Meshuggah instead of expanding on that style they initially had

Yeah, after the 4th it was all downhill, but i like the 4th and the mouth.

Meshuggah should call their lawyers.
