dead god: no too band. I think the singer thought he was in hate eternal. he spoke in a pretty evil voice inbetween the songs. the guitar work was pretty impressive. Lots of slayer influnces, but the song structure mirrored more deicide.

life at zero: new vocalist and new drummer. they kicked ass. the new singer takes out jeremy's disgusting, gutter vocals with some nice death metal vocals. also, the new drummer (brother of mental infliction's drummer) is pretty damn sick back there.

aganihm: it's a same that these kids are breaking up. it seems that they are getting more and more comfortable on the stage. George, probably learning lessons from his grind project, is totally getting in the music and it no longer just standing there. Brian's old punk-hardcore scream (same used in alawalwad) continue to slide off the end of the scale.
at some point during aganihm's set, a girl that came with life at zeo kicked some frat kids ass in the parking lot. I wished I got pictures of that.

ascendancy: rocks stars to the end. their fingers run marathon laps around the building 3,000,000,000,000,000,000 times a song, leaving them panting on the stage. they played mostly older songs, but worked in a few new ones from the upcoming cd. they also mixed it up so that their middle "bridge" song was at the beginning. that was weird.

well i suppose i'll put in my two cents for this show.

dead god: i thought they were really boring thrash. the whole talking evil between songs is kind of overplayed and they sounded like a far less intense deicide. maybe i'm a dick, but i just wasn't digging it really.

life at zero: i thought these guys were awesome, their drummer certainly is something else, his fills were fucking tit. pretty sweet.

aganihm: well this is our second to last show, we were supposed to play today, but we canceled for reasons i'm not sure myself.... kinda lame, i'd like to play out, but whatever. i broke my strap during the first song, so many thanks to mike for letting me borrow his! sorry for not apologizing up front, i was kind of in a daze.

ascendancy: jesus h christ. i'm a total retard for never seeing these guys before, i was fucking blown away. i think mike has the fastest fingers in the state, and im wicked jealous. these guys were fucking incredible, and it sucks that terence's mic was giving so much feedback.

i had a good time, and i hope all you kids come out to my birthday show on the 29th, aganihms last show and lots of booze.

Thanks to all the bands, even though I was a loser and had to hang out at the Paradise with Nikki Sixx. I got to stop in for about five minutes to rock out to Dead God. See everyone soon!

i agree george about dead god, i wasnt really feeling the highs from the singer, the lows were rad, but he sounded like scooby doo in between songs, the music was great tho...

dead cod, i mean, god...dead god - they were pretty good. i like thrash metal, so i was a fan.

life at zero - i thought they were decent, but i was also setting up drums at this point, so i didnt pay all that much attention to them.

aganihm - we were sloppy, but we were ok i thought. last show on the 29th. still don't know exactly why we are breaking up, but the 29th should be a good time regardless. see jay drink himself to retardation.

ascendancy - my second time seeing them, and they were wicked good. you guys rule, you just need to play more material live. i'm kidding. keep it brutal.
