Long-running Oakland, California-based industrial/alternative/metal pioneers NEUROSIS will headline one of the nights at Maryland Deathfest IX, set to take place May 27-29, 2011 at Sonar in Baltimore. The concept of Maryland Deathfest is simple: to bring to the United States the best and most extreme bands the underground has to offer. Neurosis to headline this fest? They might as well be the only band playing, considering their live performances and stage presence goes completely unmatched.

i went to several of their performances. however it has been a very long time.

You can't touch the Hemdale/Exhumed split though. The material on that is so good. The demos and "Gore Metal" and split 7inches with Retaliation, Dekapitator, Nyctophobic, etc are all pretty awesome.
