Enslaved are hands down one of the top 3 live BM bands of all time and they still have kept their integrity and remained true to the "spirit" of BM... Seeing them open with "Frost" and going into "Loke" in the rolling hills of Germany under a rising moon will forever be etched in my memory...

Forgive me if it sounds like I'm sucking Enslaved's knob (which I am) but I don't care what band just canceled a fucking show, if it aligns with what they've been singing about for 11 stellar albums then they command respect from me. Didn't think demonstrating beliefs in music was unforgivable.

the point I was trying to make is that the reason you guys gave in defending what Enslaved did is kinda dumb...just because a band defined a genre doesn't mean everyone on the planet has to agree with everything they do

I personally disagree with what they did, not because I'm Christian (cause I'm not, I hate religion), but because I just think people should just not care that much about other's beliefs to that extent...but everyone has the right to agree or disagree with me or them or whoever...but just because Enslaved was influential doesn't mean they're free from ridicule

i don't care for Enslaved after Eld, a few songs here and there are killer, but everything pre-Eld is untouchable. Vikingligr Veldi is one of my favorite albums of all time. However i do agree with this, kudos to them for having the guts to stand up for their own beliefs when it would invoke nothing but criticism. I know that now there is this idea that bands are supposed to hold hands in harmony and "transcend" beyond belief systems, but that is the very poison that has turned a once harsh yet beloved world into a steaming cesspool of sissy bitches.

If your homeland was subjugated and converted to follow an alien religion, no matter how long ago, you'd probably do the same thing Enslaved has. Why should they want to associate with a band that chooses to follow the cross? How could one forget that Christianity trampled over the pagan beliefs of Scandinavia and Europe as a whole? Think about it from that perspective.

I don't really like enslaved, although i have seen them, and they WERE really good live. But i love them for this. I hate christianity.
