this is the way that shows should be set up here, on the stage!
I disagree.
The place is huge so whenever I set something up there unless I have 250-300+ I want the floor so the room looks more full.
Plus it gives room to backline - something beneficial with a 10 band show unless gear is being shared.
Also for other comments Anomia is probably the smallest band on this lineup in terms of draw in Fall River.
The show should stay more or less on time if anyone's planning on going.
Nah it's 8Ball the old singer of Dragged Under running this - and he fronts Structure Fails now.
He's usually good with keeping his shows running on time though.
there is one band missing or something and right now they are only off by 10 minutes i think.
5:10 anomia - the sound started off a little rough for them, but ended rougher. Sound-wise at the beginning, stomach contents-wise at the end. After the PA got figured out, it sounded a lot better. They played at least one song that I've played on RTTP. I was sort of comparing them to the taste of silver and then the singer pulled a rowan during the last song and spilt his stomach contents on the ground. The cops should have something in their truck to clean this up... Let's hope. and the room was filling up during anomia so that should be good.
i set up 2 flashes too.
i see your point about the backlining. and also, i cant really get to shoot the drummers with out getting awkward.
5:40 wefellfromthesky - i think people were more interested in staying out of the puke that coming up to watch this band. When there is like 30+ feet between the bands on stage and the people in the crowd, it makes it a little weird. Made it seem like a lot more people were in the room for anomia. Im rethinking my thoughts on the floor since the stage is making it a bit awkward. I dont care for clean vocals (which they had), but they are playing a headlining gig @ club hell they said I was surprised about that. I was also surprised that they had tattoos. They looked way too young. I guess i cant tell ages anymore.
pires: i think this has to stay on time. isnt there a curfew here? i thought it was 10, but I'm guessing it is 11.
Actually, only two of the memebers of that band were super young.
6:10 ruins - they won me over cause one of the guitarists had on a gnr shirt. Aces in my book. They were more like norma jean so the limited clean-ish vocals worked better. The gnr guitarist had some really good almost solo-sounding parts that were inlayed into the songs.
the room is still pretty awkward since the crowd is even further from the stage. weird. im like the only person close to the stage.

to be within the ruins or not to be...that is the questions.
6:40 masamune - i guess they found religion or something and got a keyboard player. The kb player sounded weird IMHO. This was the first band to get the crowd to step up. That made it a bunch less awkward. No one was really moshing, but there was a bunch of headbanging.
7:10 1942 - when walking in, the people at the front door asked "who are you here to see". Every single person that i heard said 1942. Though i remember likely. The game 1943 better than 1942 because of the barrelroll. They were pretty good.. Again, sort of awkward in this room, but they had people dancing. There was a keyboard set up, but honestly, i have no clue why. They didnt use it at all. At the end of their singer tossed the mic in the trash cause he was mad that they got a song cut off. That was lame. i hope it didnt land in the puke.
within the ruins is setting up.
8:20 damsels - i spent most of their set trying to figure out if i had seen them before or not. I will have to look.
8:55 structure fails - their set seemed rather short. Idk. Most of the crowd stayed there for them. The bassist looks like on of the duke boys' cousins when bo and luke left for a season and their cousins came to hazard county to take over for them. It was funny to see all the cops in there for them too.
9:35 within the ruins - i think they have gotten better. Im. Interested in the new album they just recorded too. The crowd seemed to only care about the last song lyics-wise, but they moshed non-stop. it has been years since ive seen them.
