blood meridian were ok. someone said that they were berkeley kids and this was their second show. makes perfect sense. they still arent comfortable one stage. musicially the songs have a lot of good, varied parts, but they seem too varied. unlike blackwater park, they dont tie right together live. i feel that they have a ton of different influences they want to get into their songs but it feels like too much and it pulls the songs in too many different directions. i also think that the porcupine tree parts of their songs would be liked a lot by the guys in dreaded silence.
it seems that smite the righteous has separated from their old singer. Divorced from band, they got a new singer. pretty good set with lots of funny faces.
I agree with all of that. When BM sent me their stuff it was all metal..none of the mellow singy stuff that was thrown in there...also the Gin Blossoms cover? Really?
STR were great...Kilgore can slay on the guitar...nice dudes. Just wish more people came out...stupid game etc. Oh well...they can't all be well attended. Thanks for Coming Aaron...good to meet you finally.
Good times at the show last night, thanks for hooking it up Zac, and thanks to the Rev for the pics. No thanks to the Celtics for falling apart while we were on stage.

we may need to look into playing something with these dudes then
they are like you guys with your drum machine, except they know all about playing their instruments and know nothing about real drinking. I think they just need to take the edge of and get transition right. I think they need to get some more stage time and an alcohol problem and then they would do juts fine.
