11:45 - 12:10 - Howl (mainroom stage) the drums messed up so in replacing that they had to skip a song. I forget which one it was. Still good set. They rocked at 11:45am.

There's definitely a few things I like about today's schedule. Ingrowing, Fang, and TFD in a row on different stages. Impaled, Blood Duster, and Verbal Abuse in a row on the main stage. Repulsion and Autopsy back to back outside in the street. Looks good.

Just caught bits and pieces of Sulaco, they were okay. I missed Howl.

12:25 - 12:55 - Sulaco (mainroom stage) im glad to see that in not the only one who thought they were no longer a band. Undeniable sulaco bass sound too. I believe they are the worlds first flipflopgrindband.

Sulaco was all right, but they would have been better if they played more old songs with vocals.

Anyone know when Possessed is going on?

1:10 - 1:40 - Fuck the Facts (mainroom stage) seems like i used to shoot these guys every weekend. Now, it's been years. Love these guys and they sounded really good.

1:55 - 2:25 -Ingrowing (mainroom stage) wow... They had a huge number of peoplethere for them.
Good for them. Funny that there were so many people beside the stage too.

it's really hot but over cast so i didnt go get my sun screen. im going to hide in the shade all day. tomorrow is suppose to be a scorcher. everyone should bring sun screen.

Ingrowing kicked unholy amounts of ass, so fucking fast. Their set also ended in the best possible way when one of the guitarists stood up on the barrier, let people bang on his guitar, then tossed it aside and did a stage dive. Fucking awesome.

ok, i mixed up the stages up. the outside stage names are reversed.

2:20 - 2:50 - Fang (outside side stage) his (the singer's) stage banter would sound wicked forced, but he delivers it very well. The crowd was funny and they sent a song out to josh from faggot.

2:40 - 3:10 - Obliteration (mainroom stage) one of the guys from the N band from the prefest. The singer looked familiar too, but idk from where.

2:50 - 3:25 - Total Fucking Destruction (outside main stage) the new stuff is so good. This was probably the best set ive seen them do. One of the guitarists from rumpelstilskingrinder was on bass. I had a hard time recognizing him with out a dildo in his hand.

ingrowing drummer is one of the few stand outs this weekend.

I dug Fang more in this environment than at Club Hell. I listened to some Obliteration while merch browsing and dug it. Then I went to check out TFD and thought they were pretty annoying so I'm catching more Obliteration right now, this band is pretty killer.

ive had that oppinion a few times of tfd. they brought a girl singer out to screech.

Hitting up the corner diner now.

The best part of TFD was when the drummer did a Tom Araya yell at the dude on stage moving a box.

3:25 - 3:55- Jucifer (mainroom stage) the huge amount of gearage that was stacked beside the stage wasnt for all bands. It was for one band. This band. They had like 6 cabs that all looked homemade. When i first got in, i couldnt make out any thing of their wall of sound. As i sat around,it got a lot better sound wise. I think my ears just had to adjust to the sonic attack. The dude was wearing a dropdead shirt. That's many cool points right there.

3:25 - 4:10 - The Chasm (outside side stage) technical difficulties so i didnt get a chance to see much of them. Big crowd for them outside.

the chasm also covered deicide from what mcvay told me.

My old band EVERYDAY DAMAGE opened for FANG on 8-23-1987 in Providence, I was 17.

4:10 - 4:55 - Sadistic Intent (outside main stage) i didnt know them, but they were really good. Most of possessed, minus jeff.

4:10 - 4:45 - Impaled (mainroom stage) the set sounded killer for MDFs house band. That room is specifically turned for impaled to play.

4:30 - 4:55 - Possessed (outside main stage) when i came out jeff beccera was hitting on a girl in the front row. I guess cody was right. They sounded awesome. I went up stairs and shot some pictures, infrareds, and a video which includes MFR. They got more time to rock out as possessed.

5:00 - 5:50 - Blood Duster (mainroom stage) this is almost as ridiculous as the set from birdflesh. Out there somewhere, there was a party store that was seeing some bad times in this tough economy. Then along comes MDF and the party place thinks that times are looking up for them finally. The room was completely packed too. Oh, i have a picture of a girl stong bad with a huge f'n dong and lamp hugging a dolphin. Little did we know lamp had the same sexual issues as troy maclure. Great ending to the set too with the singer of roperprop.

Even though I'm ready to pass out, Bloodduster was fucking amazing. Easily one of my favorite sets of the weekend.

I watched most of Impaled from a distance and they were pretty killer. But holy shit, Blood Duster. I was surprised at how much old stuff they played. Singing along to Drink, Fight, Fuck was one of the highlights of the weekend so far.

5:50 - 6:40 - Melechesh (outside main stage) after waiting sooo long to see this band, they made me wait a while longer by taking extra time to set up. It probably had something to do with possessed taking a long time... So i went in and saw verbal abuse.

6:10 - 6:40 - Verbal Abuse (mainroom stage) ruled. Most of the crowd owwas as ut with melechesch though. Still like lame said, for old guys, they brought it.

7:25 - 8:15 - Repulsion (outside main stage) wow, they played so well. Old pros and it was like a never ending wave of crowd surfers as they played.

8:15 - 9:25 - Asphyx (outside side stage) wow, i didnt realize they got a 70 minutes set until they said "we have a 70 minute set." seriously good. The sound was ok. They sounded better last year sound wise. i think it's the fact that the ground slopes down. After shooting for a while i needed to sit down, but there wasnt any place thatg i could sit and watch them until iwas behing the drummer. Way too many bugs for me to stay behind the drummer.

i went back and watched the last 2 songs of aspyhx.

autopsy is on now and dwyer, you messed up.

My feet felt like they had been caned, but I had to stand up there for the whole set. HAD TO. They played 2-3 songs off everything. i took a picture of the set list that dwyer can critique. remember autopsy used to be his favorite band.

10:45 - 11:20 - Deceased (mainroom stage) they were so good that they heated the room to a million degrees in meer minutes. Prompting me to quickly photo the show and then run outside dripping wet. Their set didnt sound as good, but was a. Lot less wet outside as i muched on doritos and talked to paulina about not being able to find our favorite new england rusky transplant. Oh and that they look related.

Highlight of the day was Aaron watching me eat nachos like a creep.

Repulsion and Autopsy were both sick as fucking fuck! They were also a lot more humble about their accomplishments than DRI too. I left after Autopsy because I was so tired i could barely stay awake, I got 10.5 hours of sleep last night so I made the right choice. Definitely worth it to be right at the barrier. Verbal Abuse was also cool in the few songs I caught of them.

Waffle House now, hopefully showing up in time to see Surroundings.
