Either people need to get out more or I am, indeed, too desensitized. Once you understand what the premise of the movie is, which is fucked up, the visuals are not shocking at all because they are not graphic and you don't care enough about the characters to begin with; you just want them to eat each others' poop. You are better off having never even heard of this movie before watching it to have it make any sort of lasting impact. Maybe it's just me.
