its hard to tell whats going on before this video is shot. the first thing the white dude says is "let go of me man". the black dude is obviously grabbing on to the white dude. the mbta has no authority to place their hands on anyone. mbta dude deserved to get punched in the face. the fact that he was called a nigger in the process is pretty irrelevant.

I ran the video and paused it repeatedly at the beginning. The tall guy reaches out and grabs the mbta guy. He is not the one saying "let go of me man" it is the mbta guy who is saying it.

Someone else posted this, and might be right. It's one of those 'you punched yourself' bully things:

1) White guy grabs black guys hands
2) Black guy tries to get away saying "let go of me man"
3) White guy keeps holding on to black guy as black guy tries to pry the white guys hand loose
4) White guy taunts black guy while still holding his hand
5) White guy suddenly let's go of black guys hand, causing black guy to punch himself
6) White guy walks by, apparently wearing a T-Party T-shirt


I disagree slightly with #5, the white guy is throwing the black guy's hand back, and seems to connect with his own.
