toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 22,2004 10:43am
what a weird show.. the best part was the little kids outside that were "hollerin'" at the ladies in short skirts. picture a pack of black kids, age 7-10 doing that with one token fat white kid. I'll always remember that show as the one that I saw a little black kid refer to the token white kid as "this nigga here" and then made him to the "sandwich run" and "crab" dances. then one of them claimed to be rick james, bitch.

shroud of turin: they were pretty good. I liked the first song. and then they played a couple song that didn't sound as good. then I liked one of the middle and final songs. I've heard they've gotten much better and that they change their band name all the time.

newandyke: I didn't recognize them at first until I saw the drummer and realized who they were. It's been a long time since I've seen them. I guess they have a bunch of new songs which I really coulding junk.. but they plaed at least one song I remember from the mp3s so that was good.

auletta: I guess they are breaking up. last show on saturday which I will be at. They had the same sampler as newandyke playing the same sample loops over and over. I think their music sounded a bit like newandyke too. Also, wasn't Eric-so-far in this band before?

jcc productions: the guys from the place where the show was held was JCC productions! you see, they are all like blowin' up in the spot. channel 13th. see all a ya be on TV and if you want promotion, talk to them. Anyhow, they got the arsnata to play bass and drums while they brought out some rappers. It was obvious that the arsonata guys didn't know what was going on nor did they feel comfortable or give into the madness and play along with them. It was hilarious none the less. "if you like to get high, says 'eye!'". I wish I'd had a 17-55dx lens for that stuff.. sigh.. out well...

arsonata: ex-fell from stars who I only go to see once and only vaguely remember. Anyhow, the new band sounded really good. they do a lot of interesting things on the guitars that sounds very original. the drummer was a little kid and his set was huge, but he sounded really tight.

invocation of nehek: so the JCC guy comes out to say something on the mic. after how us his abs-of-steel and telling us it's cause he works out to "our music", the crowd get's him to start rapping. tom and tim follow them up trying to get the beat down with how they were rapping. having already seen this with the arsonata, they gave in and (with a few well place jugjugs from steve and rob even though they looked a little flustered) it actually sounded "offical".
Anyhow, ION took off after that little break. They played a bunch of songs that I knew and one that I didn't. it was a new song. their set seemed rather short.

what weapons bring war: sounded really good. I'm looking forward to getting these guys into the studio at some point. oh crap... I didn't get a cd from them for my show. it ended with a real bang. as you can sort-of see from the picture... bass+flying through the air+randomkidshead=stitches. I tried to get a picture of the kid, but people crowded around him and I couldn't get in there. When he was outside, he was too busy bleeding to listen to me asking him to take a picture.

move towards murder: no clue who these kids where, but they sounded pretty good.

fight night: mising most of their members, they were tossed on this show, played a couple songs and then I went home.

toggletoggle post by arsonick   at Apr 22,2004 11:32am
yeh we were ready to start our set while those dudes were rapping away. it would have been funny. just throw in a blast beat

toggletoggle post by whatweaponsbringwarjp   at Apr 22,2004 11:39am

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 22,2004 11:44am
man.. don't tease!
post it!

is he ok? I saw (though my lens) the kid get hit and fold over on the ground. I tell you what, if that was me... and I was hit... I would either
a) curl up on the ground and die
b) start cying, turn and go home and never come back

i thought last night was hilarious. obviously, i wouldnt want all shows to be like this, but it was a nice break considering the fights from the mpb, and the bled shows this week in ct.!!

toggletoggle post by arsonick   at Apr 22,2004 12:47pm
i think if he released the bass any earlier it was coming for me.
everyone should just hit the floor if and when that happens again

at the bled show on ..... tuesday night.. the opening band some young
kids from pough., ny the singer decided to jump off stage while singing
and mosh for his own band, he started to hit the security guy, who was actually the singer of fight night.. tim tried to calm this kid down so he
punched tim in the face, next thing you know all the ct kids start to beat
up this kid, because tim was working for empress and couldnt fight...
the whole thing wasn't too bad, but come on it wasnt a madball show...

funniest part of the whole thing... at the end of the fight. the owner of
the empress told the singer to give me his brass knuckles which where
very visible through his girls jeans.. and he asked if they'd please not tell his mom that he had them...

that kid is lucky...so close to his eye...

fuck the faggot who threw his bass, i would have smashed his face in with it.

toggletoggle post by Suffofucker at Apr 23,2004 5:34pm
seriously man, this is rttp, not some 14 yr old nu-metal band site, don't start drama. Say that shit to his face, not on some message board like a little pussy. and he would beat the ever living piss outta you, so please just stop the bullshit and say something to him in person next time you see him, Tough Guy.

lol dave your the man... by the way, im the receiving end of this whole incident (im the one who was struck by the flying guitar at the church), and dave and i are cool, it was planned out the whole time.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 24,2004 12:31pm
if that was planned
then I'm miles davis.

toggletoggle post by aweguitar   at Apr 25,2004 1:06am edited Apr 25,2004 1:07am
lol, ok so it wasnt planned, but it was fun, and i'd do it again. not

toggletoggle post by todd at Apr 25,2004 1:08am
hi im the singer of Auletta... and we're not breaking up... you're thinking of Arsonata.

And as for the bass incident... if anyone has been to a WWBW or Failsafe show it's obvious that Dave is going to swing/throw his bass... i didn't think this was a big deal, it happens.

what the fuck are you talking about?

this is why i don't go to shows anymore. everyone has a fucking ego trip. it's all about "gettin' dropped" and fashion instead of music these days. hardcore kids need to grow the fuck up. I did. It's where I came from.
