Jets are gonna be a top tier team this year.

Better than the pats

Unfortunately, I'd have agree with you there.

It's tough to argue that the Jets will contend this year. But think about this...

They cut one of their best players, and one of their only true leaders to pick up 2 notorious head cases that have never played clutch football. Cromartie is a pussy, and if he heads into this super physical Jets defense thinking he's going to pass on tackles like he did in SD things are going to get real ugly for him. The same with Tomlinson. Leon Washington has worked his ass off to be the #1 back there, and there's no way he's going to just step aside because LT is LT. You're going to see some egos clashing, and somebody is going to be an unpopular guy by mid season.

The Jets have some big names this year but they won't make the playoffs. LT is gonna look really awkward on their offense.

playoffs?!? you, kiddin me, they won't make the playoffs?!?!

the jets have to be considered the favorite to win the division right now. let's see what the pats between now and training camp with free agency and the draft before we jump to any conclusions, but my money would be on the jets right now. i sure hope i'm wrong

If the Patriots tuck in their labia and finish a fucking game this season they have a chance at going all the way.

my biggest problem with the Pats is that Bill O'Brien will still be calling the plays...getting a better play caller would solve a lot of their problems

the jets are going to be a damn good team this year. they really flourished in the second half of last season, and i wouldnt be surprised to see them in a championship game.

Flourished is an odd way to describe a team that was ready to pack it in by week 14, backed into the playoffs, and stumbled their way to a hopeless afc championship appearance after their opponents laid down and norv turner-ed.

The Patriots will do nothing in free agency. It's so frustrating. They're relying on the draft.

you don't build in free agency....teams that build in free agency aren't consistently good teams year in and year out like the Pats, Colts, Steelers, etc. have been

toggletoggle post by MillenialKingdom  at Mar 15,2010 8:54pm
I understand that but you have to dip in free agency as well and there have been quality players that we needed that we could have snatched up if the Pats would have at least made some kind of effort.

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Mar 15,2010 8:58pm
who out of this free agent class would you have picked up to help a team need, except for maybe Peppers?

toggletoggle post by MillenialKingdom  at Mar 15,2010 9:02pm
Boldin.

well, he wasn't a free agent, but that's one I actually agree with, especially considering what Baltimore gave up, and the fact that he took less money than what he wanted from Arizona

Baltimore are better contenders than Arizona I think. They have a great team this year it looks like.

the one thing the jets don't have is a good qb. sanchez sucks and will keep them from winning the super bowl anytime soon. then again, i also thought roethlisberger sucked and he has two super bowl rings.

Sometimes I wish you guys travelled to Hill Valley in 2015 with me and got the book of sporting scores. The book clearly states the Jets win the superbowl in 2011.

You know what I say? Give up your first rounder for Brandon Marshall. Receivers have such a high bust rate in the NFL that it only makes sense to sacrifice a first rounder for a guy who can play at such a high level. 1100 yards and 10 touchdowns with KYLE ORTON throwing passes to him. Shit it would take the entire Jets secondary to take down Marshall in the open field.

Plus who are you really excited for the Pats to take with the 22nd overall pick? Jermaine Gresham? No way. Jared Odrick, maybe he's a big physical defensive lineman. Sergio Kindle, give me a break, let the Jets draft another workout warrior rush linebacker.

I'd be really happy to see the Pats turn that first round pick into something big.
