Despoilment (recently reunited Death Metal from Worcester, members formerly of Bane of Existence, Acephalus, Zircon) will be playing our first show in 7 years on April 15th @ Ralph's Diner for the 90th installment of Metal Thursday. We couldn't be happier that this show will also feature an exclusive New England performance by the one-man-killing-machine himself, BLOODSOAKED [NC]!!!
We are also pleased to welcome Devin (Burial) as our live lead vocalist. Devin stepped in when we needed his help back in 2003 and performed with us at our last show before splitting up. It's great to have him back with us in 2010! Rounding out the lineup are founding members Chris (bass/vocals/programming) and Dusty (guitar/vocals).
Expect a set of brand new material mixed with plenty of old favorites and a special cover song!

do NOT want to sit thru that dude on stage with just himself and a drum machine. BORINGEST set ever. Yeah the music is good. but seriously get a fucking band.
hope despoilment gets a drummer by then so it's a metal show and not a techno show. |

We're prepared for the drum machine criticism, especially from drummers. It's a necessary evil in order for us to even consider doing a reunion show this year. It's not ideal but we'd rather do it this way than not at all. I do promise it's not going to be one inhuman mechanical blast beat after another though. If we decide to continue on after this show then we'll definitely be working on the live drummer thing. |
