I hear fellating scott lee is key.
Took one for the team hahaha. Naa Scott Lee's office called us up and asked if we wanted to play it, naturally a chance to open for Vader @ The Palladium we absolutely agreed to it.

Thanks for the good luck wishes man, we're so pumped for this. Ever since we started we've been dying to play the Palladium. Hope you can make it out, should be a badass show.

Actually they're doing a 2 stage deal I'm sure. But luckily if doors are at 6:00 and bands are playing upstairs before the nationals then there should be a decent crowd. Hell if you want I'm sure we'll do a merch set up so feel free to leave them at our table if you want.

Hopefully there's not too much overlap, I hate missing bands (local and national)

Agreed, last thing I would want is for us to be up against say Warbringer or something.
I am absolutely seeing this. It's a good lineup, an the newest Overkill album is great. Hell, my bachelor party ended at an Overkill show. They are always a good time.
the new Overkill album is their best since WFO and is absolutely better than any new album from their peers of the "the big four" and even Testament for that matter. Lets see what the new Exodus brings.....
We're actually not being made to sell tickets. They gave us the option of 30, but what we don't sell we just give back and we don't lose anything out of it. Perfectly fair in my opinion.
Apparently they're doing a two stage thing for this. Locals open on the second stage, then once the locals are done the touring bands start on the mainstage, at least I hope. I'd hate to be playing at the same time as Warbringer for example.
No idea. I'm really not sure how they're doing this at all. All I know is I gotta be there at 4 for load in, doors at 6, show's at 7. That's all I know.
is this sold out? In Hartford its no where near sold out. I'm going to the Hartford show but a few people said its lame there. Said its the worst venue ever and there are no metal/thrashers in CT. I could come tonight but it would take me 2.5hrs that's why I'm goin to Hartford. Some said its sold out tonight?
Please give an update on how this gig goes tonight!!!!! Can not wait to see Evile and Overkill
I will be there. waiting to find out. There is now way this will sellout.

no? ok, not sure what my contacts are saying then. all i know is The Webster has only sold 230 tix and that is nothing... but maybe more people will pay at the door. I heard philly was practically sold out.
I knew this was gonna happen. Advertise the show at 7 and half the locals will be over by then. Cant make it till 7 and Gina will kill me if we miss the summoned.
ok. woe of tyrants is on now. just sasw scalpel up stairs. if you ever get to see them, watch the drummer. that dude is tight. imho they sounded more like suffo than i have heard them sound before. the room wasnt packed but there were a good 50 people up there.
well, i dont have a way of mobile uploading to this site.. so...
the summoned had at least 50 fanclub members up there for them again, good to see at this time in the evening. the sound for them was a little thin in that room for them (much like scalpel)
i went downstairs to see evile again. they are on now and are pretty awesome. just like the kreator show, these kids are really into this band. especially since they are a good band.
i saw mileniumkingdom upstairs. he's wearing a short for a band that i dont yet know of. army? is that a band? he looks less and less like someone i would ever want to fuck with.
Scapel was sick. Drummer was fantastic. The Summoned sounded huge upstairs. I'm really glad they played this. Acaro was good. My buddy Kevin is playing bass for them.
Woe of Tyrants was tight. Saw them at Rocko's once. Liked them better there.
Evile was good but for me a little underwhelming.
Warbringer had a lot of energy. Way better live than on cd. I will see them again if they play around here.
God Dethroned is really boring and it looks like the crowd feels the same way.
by "cute" you mean young. the age differences here is amazing. lots of 40-50yo fans of overkill with their tween kids. pretty cool if you think about it.
it was a little weird realizing that acaro had a new bassist.
it took me about 3 songs to figure out what was up with the god dethroned setlist. you can tell when you see the picture.
i would like to say that my "thin sound " comment was proven invalid. i went to thecrowd for a song of under lying truth and the sound was massive out there.

duh young = cute.
hey aaron do you have any rttp stickers?
post by Boner at Apr 2,2010 9:36pm
is it just me or is vader way quieter than god dethroned?
the guitars are way too quiet. honestly, i sounds like they are adjusting things every second. i forgot to put stickets back in my bag. will try to do that.
no deny the cross? arg! i think the only ancient songs they did were elimination, wrecking crew, and fuck u. then they played a song with those weird "dark" blitz vocals. the rest was newer stuff that i honestly wasnt too familar with. still, they killed.

vader, why no ribcage mic stand?! wtf?
who the hell names their band Birch Hill Dam? Are kids that desperate for band names they just use names of nearby landmarks close to their parents house? hahah.

those pics are sick! i am getting fuckin CHILLS for tonight! sounds like the show went very well! lots of people too. damn!
Easily one of the best shows I've ever been to. My only complaints of the entire show was that people didn't seem to give Vader enough recognition it seemed like. They sounded amazing. My other complaint is that God Dethroned was boring and I hate them.
I saw them in Webster Theater tonight. Overkill were great. I showed up in time to see Vader, but I have to admit that Vader were kinda boring. I've seen them many times before, but this time they were stiff. I kept leaving to go see Guerra in the small stage room. Guerra were more fun than Vader and I had never heard their material before.
On the 2 hour ride back, I had time to calculate how many times I've seen Overkill. I can definitely account for a dozen shows I've seen of them over the years, possibly 13. I pretty sure I have seen them more times than any other non local band.
