Uniracers was and still is the most fun to be had on the SNES. Blackthorne is epic and i miss my original copy of that game. play the first Power Rangers beat em up game. sick music, solid beat em up gameplay. that or Knights of the Round.
Hmm... obscure... I'd recommend Riddick Bowe's boxing, really good gameplay in terms of the way the computer adapts to your strategy, endless hours of gameplay.
If you're looking for an obscure RPG/building type game, try Populous, kind of primitive but will keep you entertained for a surprisingly long time.

I always thought Terranigma was flat an linear but a decent play nonetheless. I'm hoping you didn't mention it just to sound 1337 and kvlt because it was never an NTSC game. It had a delayed pal release an only got popular due to the emulation surge about 5 years ago.
in orther words: way to recommend a game that won't work with us systems which would only promote the use of emulation, which is wrong. Your arrested.
My b, it was reimrocs thread where he wanted challenging old games. EVO was a good, early snes game. It's not as polished as the later releases but enjoyable to no end. It has that nes vibe to it.
i would say "actraiser" was real good. So was "Equilibrium". As far as RPGs are concerned, "Gemfire" was real nice, and the "Romance of the three kingdoms 3" was a classic strategy game.
Blizzard was a great company. Now they rake in the wow dough and are corrupt. Bring back primal rage or gtfo. Oh yea, where's my Starcraft 2? Oh wait, WoW is all they care about.

I think I played Primal Rage for at least 4 hours every fucking day when I was 11 or 12. That and Killer Instinct. I miss my childhood.
Is it sad that some of my best memories of childhood are from sitting in a room on a summer day with my friends for hours on end playing super nintendo
Oh yes, and Super star wars series was also a favorite.
but the game I played most and still do play from time to time on super nintendo, Pokemon Red and Gold, I have the gameboy adapter that lets you play gameboy games on the nintendo.

Mentioned it because I liked it. I had no idea about the NTSC stuff.
I also enjoyed Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia and E.V.O.
I fucked up and accidentally devolved when I was emulatin' and then save stated (wasn't using the in-game save). I got fucked up by it and then accidentally save stated again right before I died so when I would go back I would just keep dying. Fail.
