I get a daily message from mickey's on myspace. wonder if this will be their last show.

Yeah, they send out a shitload of myspace messages and reminders. It makes it quite annoying when I'm trying to book a show with them, since I can never find the actual correspondence amongst all the BS.

Nonetheless, Dave from Mickey's is a really cool guy, and the shows I've had there so far have been really fun.

Unfortunately IR had to drop off, but the show is now FREE and ALL AGES, so even the kiddies can go.

Don't sleep on Matahari either. They're a new band, but are pretty damn cool. One of the founding members of the Carrier if I'm not mistaken.

To answer the questions about Mickey's:

Mickey's has closed, it is being renovated (again!) and I don't know what form it will take next. Too bad, I thought that place had a lot of potential for a venue.

The booking manager there informed me a few weeks ago, and the only reason I didn't cancel the show altogether because the lineup was too damn good. Now that I've got another venue (The Fox Common), it's free and all ages, and everyone gets to come.

damn i was looking forward to having a nice night of hanging with people my own age. THANKS TIM YOU BROKE MY HEART AND STOMPED ON MY DREAMS.
