Dead Space is excellent, still have to play through it on PC, if it's anywhere near as good as GOW then I'll check it out.

Nope, sounds like I won't bother. GoW made nearly every other 3rd person action game bargain-bin fodder.

That includes Assassin's Creed 2, haven't played that since the novelty wore off.

You really group AC2 with the likes of GoW. AC2, to me, (or at least the way I play it) is slow and methodical. GoW is fast paced and has a WHO GIVES A FUCK mentality.

Came out today, so far it's good.

Cant wait till MikeOv gives Dead Space back to Jay so I can then borrow it! Must play Event Horizon in video game form.

i always liked GoW and the game was pretty epic at times, but it's like a 6 hour long brodown. change out the guns for backward hats, polos, and natty ice and you basically have a frat party bro-a-thon.

Nah, I've had it for awhile. I got pretty far but abruptly stopped playing it, for whatever reason. Can always resume game-play at a later time.

oh yeah, my bad... thats why i was so confused... i have never played the god of war games. heard nothing but good things about them though. Gears of war is still Cho Aniki with guns.

Also, Dantes Inferno demo was not nearly as good as I was expecting. When it goes to $20 I might pick it up. It really is a complete and I mean fucking absolute God of War rip-off with shiny graphics.

i refuse to even give this game a chance, mostly because im a lit. nerd and the fact htat they are trying to tie that game to the book at all has just killed all of my interest in the game. given the facvt that if they stayed true to the book it would be a shitty game, but ive seen re-released copies of the book with the game cover art, fuck that shit.

you know, i can't say that is a bad thing. diversity is always good, but if this is just one giant game of the Hades section done in GoW style, i'm down. i too would wait until i found it used though.

It's not a bad thing I agree, but with Alan Wake, Red Dead, Bioshock 2, AVP, Deadly Premonitions, etc all coming out within the next few months, this game can't hold a fucking candle.

i agree, never played GOW but watching you play this i remember thinking it looked incredibly repetitive and the gameplay was dated.

reviews have come in and it sounds like this game isn't worth my time. i'm still playing mass effect 2 anyway! game of the year.

i finally got around to playing this, i'm having a blast. yes, it is a total God of War rip-off, but i don't care. the visuals are fantastic, it's pretty much non-stop fighting. i like how you can decide punishment and increase either your holy/unholy side accordingly, i think if you put aside the blatant rip-offs, and horrible voice acting, this game is a lot of fun.
