Met a couple of older crust/doom limeys at the last MDF. We kicked back a few brews, burnt down the sacred leaf, all while they told me about how they used to see Godflesh play in basements, almost every weekend. Their tales were so fantastic and vivid, I don't think I'd ever want to experience a Godflesh set any other way.

dude.....it's true. they really are reuniting for one show. i have to go to this. look at the line up so far. though with my luck i would go through all of the effort to get there and they would cancel.

What in the fucking hell is with this lineup? It's like some high school kid was trying to learn something about every subgenre in metal, picked one band at random from each subgenre he chose, then made a show out of it.

ya i realize he used a drum machine for most of the records ...but i thought live he'd use a human drummer...especially for a reunion show. but what do i know.

No. On a record, sure. But live, you just can't beat the feel of a real drummer. They should've got Gene Hoglan or maybe Josh Freeze.

if it's not Ted Parsons or Brain, then no. i hate drum machines live, but for Godflesh it would be a-ok.
