anywho evan was putting the show together and we were just waiting for one last band to open it. hive filled that demand so that would be why. its 6 weeks from now so i guess terms are subject to change.
how much longer has hivesmasher been around than your band? how often do they play? how many times have they toured?
obviously the biggest draw is going to be both composted and hivesmasher, and to put your own band second to last is a douchebag move. who are you, rick ta life?
I remember when nobody knew who Hivesmasher was and they always asked Sacreligion to hook em up with shows but we were on our way out. That would never happen now if we were still a band LOL.
Also, if Tom's booking the show it's a fair assessment that there will be a lot of Worcester peeps there that have no idea who Hivesmasher is. Just sayin...
Honestly, it would make more sense for HS to play later and Schaphism earlier, just as a general unwritten law of show booking. Just playing devil's advocate here.
The main point behind having Hivesmasher on later is that they've "paid their dues." They've played many, many shows, often with the least desirable time slots. All bands must go through this process. Either way, I don't really care too much personally, just stating how things usually work in a general sense.

i'm just saying that i posted the information that was provided to me and i do however agree with many points discussed in here. more information to come gentlemen. in the mean time... rejoice in the fact that a good show is in the works that will be enjoyable to many.
We'll play whenever, who gives a fuck. Everyone knows that 2nd to last is always the best time to play, but every band has to play at some point in the night, so whatever.
We're just stoked on playing with such an awesome lineup.
I mean, any one of these bands could headline/2nd to last and it would be awesome!
Basically this lineup is legendary!
set list was pretty much a rough draft being that Hivesmasher was the last band to confirm. with this massive line up pretty much no one should have to open
i know, xgodzillax you can open and we will all stand outside while eating pizza!
we love playing in allston, as we all live in Boston it's usually a pretty good time. (except the friggin day after the NEDF.....although that lineup fucking killed too.)
I just can't believe we get to play with three bands that:
A I actually like.

I just read over this thread instead of skimming to the bottom to bump it.
First off, thank you for the niceness our buddies are throwing our way, but its true. No one knows who we are, but after 4+ years, we'd hope the ones who truely matter to US would. (Cliche moment warning)We do this for us, and the people who are willing to listen. We'd rather play obriens or a filthy basement over a club anyday.
Secondly, we would have played any slot. We just came off our 2 month hiatus and are finally back on the proverbial ball. Regardless, Comp, Boar, and FuckIMSig, we fully back any decision made by you whipper snappers.
The only thing we're truely concerned about, is the responce to our brand new material, and what beers we're going to drink at Sunset Grill before hand.

but yes. don't care about the spot on the show. every band is equally as good or better than all the others for their own reasons, which is why this will be a ton of fun.

Well, here's the deal with that. I was trying to make sure there was cabs Eric could use, and asked Tom about it. (we do appreciate it by the way) and then MFR told me we could use both of Composted's Cabs. Either way, we're bringing ours to the show saturday so who ever's cab we do use can use ours then. Anyways, it will all go smoothly, i'm sure. This show is gonna rule.

very true. normally I don't mind taking pics in shitty lighting conditions, but I am without my portable flash, so it will be harder. however, I do have a flash built in on my SLR, but it is very very bright. I always feel bad using it on bands because I feel like it's really distracting.

This show was fucking great. Pumped for the show tomorrow night in Woo-town.
Highlight of the night for me had nothing to do with the bands, but rather the guy blasting his motorcycle radio, revving his engine, and then blasting down harvard ave like a bad ass bat out of hell. Simply amazing.
