That flyer has been all over the place for more than 2 weeks, and no one noticed.
for the record, Bog Of The Infidel dropped off very last minute (not sure why). Fortunately there was conveniently members of another band in attendance (1 member who is in Katahdin I believe), so that band played. Even more fortunately was that they were awesome!
Mythology was awesome. straight up Immortal worship, spikes, corpse paint, blistering black metal. nothing original, but it was well done. as long as something like that is put together well, i get the biggest kick out of it. the only problem was their bassist, i'm not really sure he had any clue what he was doing. i'd love to see these guys come back, they are from waaaay upstate NY, like 15 minutes from the border.
fucking bummer that Bog dropped. it was still a good show though, watching Connor try to play keys, bass, and sing was pretty funny.
I have to say, I think Morgirion has finally found the perfect arrangement & lineup. The guitar sounded MASSIVE, dude has such good tone and technique that they really don't need a 2nd guitar. Connor on bass/vox/keys worked amazingly. Seriously dudes, stick with this format. Best I've ever seen you guys play. And your drummer is a goddamn machine.
Mythology blew me away... great presence, they owned the stage. Will definitely bring them back in the future.
Katahdin has a bright future. Really impressed with these guys! If they add a bassist it will be phenomenal.
And having 2/4ths of Archaic Decapitator do a last minute set to open the show was pretty cool. It usually never works out that way when a band cancels the day of the show. Will definitely book the full lineup for a return appearance.

Last night was such a fucking time. Thanks to Darkwor and Fires of Old for the peace pipe celebrations. Mythology was full of might. Looking forward to playing with them again.

Archaic Decapitator - thought the guitar riffs were awesome. drummer was a little sloppy but when i saw him play guitar in the next band i got over it. Oh yeah he was singing too. these songs would sound killer with a full band.
katahdin - singer needs work on vox and he had some aweseome riffs that he choked the life out of by trying to play a little beyond his actual ability. rest of the band was good. first 3 soungs sounded like thrash/death. then the black metal kicked in.
mythology - as everyone else said this band was pretty good. nothing new but good. overheard funny comments about store bought armor.
morgirion - last time i saw this band at k.c.'s tap with i thought they were pretty sloppy and quite bad. wasn't sure why they were headlining this show. they fucking destroyed. awesome set.
sam was pretty hammered for her birthday. good times.

Unfortunately, Bog of the Infidel had some car trouble. Hopefully, we will see them soon at a future Metal Thursday.
