FALMOUTH, Mass. — Authorities said an angry Falmouth teen kicked his mother in the throat, head-butted his brother and punched and bit his father after his mom took away his cell phone to punish him. The Cape Cod Times reported that Brandon Turner pleaded not guilty in Falmouth District Court on Thursday to charges that include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Police said his mother took away his cell phone after he hit his 15-year-old brother Tuesday. The next day, an angry Turner attacked members of his family.
The father, a corrections officer, had to use handcuffs to subdue his 18-year-old son. Police were forced to use leg shackles to get him under control.
He was held on $1,000 bail.
It was not immediately clear if Turner has legal representation.

LOL, and this just happened here on the Cape too in Hyannis in broad daylight!

HYANNIS — A woman walking on Main Street was pulled down and dragged on the ground by a man trying to steal her purse Monday in broad daylight, according to the police and the victim.

"I want people to know what happened so they can be more careful," the Marstons Mills woman told the Times yesterday.

The woman said she was walking from the Barnstable Town Hall parking lot on the walkway between the Hyannis Post Office and the John F. Kennedy Museum, when she felt a tug on her purse.

She turned to see a young man pulling her purse. He pulled harder, causing her to fall face first on the ground. He dragged her as she held on and began to scream.

It was about 3:30 p.m. and Main Street was crowded, she said.

Two men outside the post office heard the woman's screams and began to come toward the assault, which left the mugging victim with her shirt torn, and knees, arms and eyeglasses scraped.

The men cornered the mugging suspect, later identified as Levon Wheeler, 20, of 105 Main St., and a third Samaritan attempted to grab him and hold him for police, Barnstable police Patrol Officer Brian Morrison said yesterday.

But the man let Wheeler go after he motioned as if he had a concealed weapon and said "let me go or you're gonna get it," Morrison said.

Wheeler then ran off with the witnesses in pursuit, and he hid in the woods behind 93 Pleasant St. A police dog unit arrived 10 minutes later, at which point Wheeler emerged from the bushes, Morrison said.

Morrison said that when Wheeler began walking toward police officers he was holding a knife with a 4-inch blade and was cutting his own forearm.

"He wanted us to shoot him," Morrison said. "He was trying for 'suicide by cop.'"

The police officers drew their weapons but Wheeler would not relinquish the knife. He was also shouting at the police, encouraging them to release the dog.

Morrison then warned Wheeler he would be Tasered if he failed to comply. When Wheeler did not respond, Morrison fired his Taser gun, hitting Wheeler in the chest. But Wheeler remained on his feet and again tried to engage the police, Morrison said.

He walked too close to the police dog, which bit him on the pant leg. Morrison said Wheeler made a motion to stab the dog, at which point he was able to Taser Wheeler again, the electric spurs connecting on Wheeler's chest and chin.

Wheeler was taken to Cape Cod Hospital because any time a Taser hits someone above the shoulder, medical professionals must remove it from the person's body, Morrison said.

While Wheeler sustained minor injuries, Morrison said the Hyannis man was lucky. "That's a situation that can get really ugly," he said.

Wheeler pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Barnstable District Court to unarmed assault with intent to commit robbery, assault and battery and resisting arrest. He faces a pretrial hearing Oct. 26, according to court records.

HAHA!! The funny thing is I walk that sidewalk where this bitch got mugged to go to that post office at least twice a week.

I imagined all these events progressing in about a 30 second time span and laughed hard.
