CARDINAL SIN: Puerto Rican Thrash Pioneers To Issue Collection Of Demos, Rarities - Mar. 20, 2004

Long-defunct Puerto Rican thrashers CARDINAL SIN will be issuing a collection of demo recordings and rarities on March 26 through KhaosMaster Productions. Titled "Resurrection", the CD will be distributed in the U.S. via Century Media, Relapse and Red Stream mail-order, and in Canada through Great White North.

The complete track listing for the CD is as follows:

01. Edge of Reality *
02. Against The Waterfall *
03. Never Enough *
04. Request To Rest *
05. Infanticide **
06. R.G.S.O.T. **
07. Hell Turns To Ice **
08. RESH **
09. Death of Pee Wee **
10. Pinnacle of Ignorance ***
11. The Great Tribulation +
12. Infanticide +
13. Scripts of a Dead Man ++

* From the demo "When There's a Will..."
** From the demo "Infanticide"
*** Unmixed, lost studio recording of previously unreleased song
+ Live on WJUL
++ - Low-budget recording in Puerto Rico of one of the first songs by the band with George

Commented guitarist John Dones: "We were approached by a distribution company in PR and was offered a deal to re-master our demos and re-release a compilation-type CD. I guess according to the buzz we are considered a legendary band in PR and pioneers of thrash in the Caribbean. All the newbies have been asking for this release for quite some time now, so we will deliver them a nice souvenir.

"The CD is most of our music compiled into one recording. We've remastered the 'Querer es Poder' demo but just were able to clean up tape recordings of our other demo/songs (poor quality but clear enough for the avid fan). We've included live versions of unreleased songs like 'The Great Tribulation' and 'Pinnacle of Ignorance'. We've included a recount of the history of the band inside the CD jacket among never released photos as well."

The CD can be ordered directly from Khaosmaster Productions in Puerto Rico at this address:

Neat, I'll keep an eye out for it. I'm having an 80's thrash metal relapse of late.
