I have the digitally remastered box set and it is amazing. 1 looks like a movie that could have been made now. This looks like they are remaking 1 and 2 into on movie minus the scene with the bus.
Or am I too old to realize that the current teens will not have seen the original NOES?
I hate to say it buddy.... but that might be it. I know i'm barely old enough to have seen them coming up, and i'm 28. So the young "movie-goer" market probably has not seen them.
I am a big fan of Robert Englund, but I will still see this. I think it will be fun.
People are too anal on the whole remake issue. I liked the Halloween remakes. I especially don't understand what was so sacred about Halloween II. I have never in my whole life ever heard someone say, "Holy fuck Halloween II is my favorite movie of all time".
Oh, and if you like Robert Englund see Zombie Strippers. It is wonderfully bad.
i don't know. nothing can top robert englund as well as the original movies style. freddy was sadistic but also comedic at the same time.
"Now you're playing with POWER!"

The new one. I didn't know it was a remake. I just went cause I'm a big fan of Rob Zombie movies. I brought a girl to it and she ended up sitting with some other friends who were there instead of me.
i'll stand by House, but otherwise i agree. he has failed miserably at everything after House. Halloween was an abomination, i will not disgrace my eyes by watching part 2. they turned Michael Myers, the embodiment of pure evil, into a pussy little bitch who is lashing out because mommy and daddy didn't love him. Donald Pleasance is rolling around in his grave.

this looks like it could go either way. It could be good and refreshing or a complete disappointment. I'm a huge fan of the old ones, I've seen everyone of them so i'll see this. and btw I'm 22. age is no excuse for not seeing these movies.
He's the one who got sucked into his bed and then large amounts of blood cascades to the ceiling. The original was fucking scary when I first saw it ( I was 9 or 10). This might be worth checking out even though I'll scrutinize the shit out of it as I compare it to the original. No shit that's the Rorschach dude?
yeah Johnny Depp has one of the best deaths ever. i found one of those Best Buy "4 movies for X amount of money" with the first 4 Nightmare on Elm St. for like 8 bucks, all of them are awesome. especially the second one.
