Paria Signs with Black Market Activities
We are proud to announce that we have signed Omaha, Nebraska's Paria.
The
band started recording their currently untitled debut full length for
BMA
this afternoon at the Ranch Bowl in Omaha. According to the band, their
new material is "much more all over the place, experimental and grindy"
than their previous 2-song disc on Imagine It Records. Having been
fortunate enough to check some of the new material, it is heavy, in
your
face and the drumming is absolutely ridiculous. Check two of the band's
older tracks at http://www.hxcmp3.com/bands/284/. In other news, the
band
is in the process of booking shows and tours for the summer. Parties
interested in booking the band, please contact them at
cynicsix@aol.com.

Dead Water Drowning Breaks Up
We are sad to report that NH's Dead Water Drowning has broken up.
Formed
in early 2002, the band released their debut for BMA last summer and
followed it with a 3 week tour alongside The Red Chord, Premonitions of
War & The Black Dahlia Murder. Shortly after, a founding member of the
band left and a series of line-up complications followed for months to
come. The band plans to play one final show but the details have not
been
solidified. Each member plans to continue doing something music
related.
Vocalist, Nate Johnson has officially joined Premonitions of War and
drummer, Jon Dow will be filling in for The Red Chord on their upcoming
tour dates. Anyone interested in DWD merch please contact the band
directly at getupoffmesucka@aol.com and keep an eye out for the details
on
their last show.

Ed Gein Benefit Package
After the van fiasco this winter--where their van, trailer, equipment
and
personal belongings were stolen--Ed Gein is back in commission, writing
new material for their BMA debut. In the meantime, to rally some funds
for
new gear and to get their van back in working order so they can tour
this
summer, we have organized a benefit pack for the band that will include
a
T-shirt, pins & stickers commemorating the van catastrophe. For info on
the benefit packet and its availability please contact
aaron@ed-gein.com.
Their a great band and swell guys so please help them out!

In other news, both Psyopus and From A Second Story Window are making
some
strong impressions at college radio with FASSW debuting at FMQB on #41,
#36 on Crucial Spins and #32 on the CMJ Loud Rock Charts and Psyopus
has
made the top 5 most added on both FMQB and the CMJ Crucial Spins. We
thank
all the music directors and DJs who have been supporting both releases
so
far.
