I watched the series finale of King of the Hill yesterday. As usual it followed the basic KOTH formula: Hank and somebody else can't relate to one another, but then through some sort of outrageous competition that no one else has ever heard about they gain a new respect for one another.

Yes, the plots were always pretty formulaic, but the characters always always (after the first couple seasons at least) made for good stories. I was actually a little sad when the episode ended but I knew that they had done it right, and knew when it was their time to step down.

Unlike some people...

Good show is good. One of the last bastions for good animated programming.

Are you Chinese or Japanese?

We're Laotian.

.....So...are you Chinese or Japanese?

That was the moment when I realized the show was worth giving a second chance.

this show would really make more sense if you folks lived in texas. I was born and raised there and thought this show comically described texan culture extremely well.

terrible animation and dialog, boring plot, characters i couldn't care less about. some funny one liners but that's about it. i lump it in with 'my name is earl' or 'that 70's show' as shows not worth my time.

not appresh'd@!

Show is pretty good. That 70's show and My Name is Earl are better.

i loved this show even though i found more than half of the characters to be really annoying.

I saw the first season and I hated it for years. Then it started airing before the Simpsons on fox at 11:00 years ago. I begrudgingly watched a few episodes, and as soon as I got a feel for the characters I was hooked. Quality show, I stand by it.

all those shows are great, especially earl. i'm pissed that they cancelled it. the most recent season of earl was some of the funniest network tv in years.

i think a lot of people dismiss KOTH as boring because of the lack of shock value...and because apparently seth macfarlane has set a new standard of funny paved with fart jokes and 80's flashbacks.

some episodes were definitely duds, but KOTH's character development really outdid that of any other animated show out there. totally doesn't follow the buffoon dad/smarmy know-it-all wife/obnoxious light-years-ahead-of-his-time kid...it was the total opposite, and that's what made it great. and earl sucks.

I watch this show every night and I don't even know if I could tell you why. While I'm not in a constant laugh out loud mode like with Family Guy, it's still a pretty good show. I like to catch the 2-3 in the morning time before I go to bed, haha.

bah, both Arrested Development and The Venture Bros have spoiled me from enjoying any other sitcom.

this show would've been better if it was about king diamond

also, scarecrow and mrs. king would've been better if it was about king diamond.
