Hrmm...well, I suppose I'm going to try to make it then. If anyone wants to ride with me, I'll be leaving from south Boston (I'm lookin' at you Jimbo).

actually, if you're leaving that late then i definitely wanna go with you. I was thinking about riding with Blue, but he's leaving an hour or so before you. I'll call you within the next hour or so to finalize.
Hoey, Rowan, and myself from the arkham white are planning on attending and showin a little homoerotic love for our boys in STIFF (you're only allowed to say "Stiff" in an ultra low toilet-bowl gurgle voice)
Burial makes my bones hurt. good show, though the drummer from Stiff took waaaaaaaaay too long to get off the stage. take the set down and THEN dismantle it. and kudos to Rev for figuring out how to save Detroit.
Great show! All the bands did great... extra points to Bloodsoaked for pulling off such a brutal set while ill. Good to see such a great turnout for the 3rd in a set of 3 back-to-back Metal Thursday weeks. Hope this foreshadows how things will go in October/November when there are MTs for 4 weeks straight!
This is almost as much of a petpeave as wet socks to me. I frieking HATE it. If i see a drummer doing this i will almost always offer to help him get the stuff off of the stage.
Quick anecdote:
Boarcorpse was waiting to play our set at a show recently, patiently watching, and trying to enjoy the band before us. (it was their first show, i'm SURE you've never heard of them) And when they finished their drummer started shooting the shit with some dudes that he knew. I waited about a minute before i offered to help him.. He accepted.... as we're moving the stuff over to the side, i realize it's "me" and not "we" anymore. He had stopped and was flirting with a girl while i moved his kit?! I was infuriated.. what's wrong with people, why can't people realize that when you're done playing your #1 priority should be getting out of the next bands way? Idiots.
The slow drumkit removal was a tad annoying, but thankfully it didn't seem to impact the show any more than allowing people to smoke 2 cigarettes before Burial instead of 1.
Great time/show last night. Thank you to everyone that come out and to everyone that stayed late. Ralphs is a very cool venue and Chris is the man for keping this shit alive. I hope to see you all again.
thanx to all who came out and killed for us and the rest of the bands. thanx to all @ ralphs for having us there. everyone was super cool and made burial feel welcome. cant wait to come back out that way and do some more eardrum damage. JG
