no i haven't, but i need this game to be gritty, violent, dark, have tight controls and carry the same film noir theme to it. #2 was a classic because of those things.

Max Payne 2 is the pinnacle of cinematics in video games. On top of having top-notch control, action and gameplay, it has the best story (IMHO) in any video game. It is only matched my the GTA and MGS series. Can't wait for this and it is done by the same guys who did Bully, not the original two. Those dudes have been working on Alan Wake for like 6 years now. Another fucking game to look out for.



Also, these aren't real trailers. It will be tits to finally see this game in action.

Been playing for 3 hrs, this game is awesome!

This game is pretty killer so far. I never played either of the first two but the story is still very rich and well-written. Game is very straightforward as far as gameplay is concerned, which is exactly what I was in the mood for. I didnt like how it went into slow motion every time you killed someone at first, but it seems to have let up and now it is badass when it happens. I barely use bullet time for some reason, as I find it easier and more fulfilling to just blast cats right away. Oh and shooting that guido faggot in the face at point blank in a bar was pretty excellent.

First two were really fun. Dunno about this one. No NYC detective and no valkyr addicts make me depressed.
I guess I'll play it eventually.

Yea you are definitely in NYC and NJ though, and youre a pill head / alcoholic. You are also a bodyguard in Sao Paolo so theres a lot of cocaine which is a definite plus for me.

Yea, I thought it took place in South America. The first two are NYC nitty-gritty detective. First one had Valkyr, a new drug that was LEGIT.

this one kind of goes back and forth between south america and NY/NJ so far anyway. At one point youre in a bar in Hoboken and a bunch of faggy guidos fuck with you. One of them punches and a girl and you blast him in the face which rules, but then it turns out he was the local mafia dons son so you fight them in the streets.

Sounds fun

Also, the soundtrack to this game is EXCELLENT.
