Last October, one of Slayer's brand new songs, "Psychopathy Red", leaked online, and since then the song has been streamed more than a half-million times. Nine months is a long stretch to go without a new track, so the band is making available another morsel from their upcoming album, "World Painted Blood", due out later this year. The limited-edition single, a Kerry King composition, is titled "Hate Worldwide", and will be available exclusively as a CD-single at Hot Topic stores beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, July 28.


"It's a really cool track, and Tom's [Araya] voice sounds incredible on it," said King. "The last line in the song's chorus is '..spread a little hate worldwide,' and that's what we've been doing for 25 years."

As "World Painted Blood" is a Slayer album, it deals with topics such as death and destruction, war, serial killers, and the Apocalypse. The album was recorded in Los Angeles over two time periods, during October 2008 and then between late January and March 2009. "World Painted Blood" was produced by Greg Fidelman.

honestly haven't listened to Christ Illusion that much. I heard a few tracks and was "meh" about it, so I never picked it up. If I'm craving slayer I'll throw in older slayer. I suppose I should rip the slayer decal off my car if this album sucks

God Hates Us All is a good album, IMO, and what I've heard of Christ Illusion, I've enjoyed. I really like the production on that one.

This new song is the fucking pits. Cool to hear such a rough mix of their shit though. I liked that aspect of it.

Divine Intervention was an grossly underated album.....I love it! Diablous sucks.....God Hates Us All was half good.....CI pretty much sucks. Psycopathy Red is a quality B-side track....thats all I got to say about that Jenny

Divine Intervention rips. Diabolus is pretty much terrible and Gods Hates us All has its moments but overall kinda sucks. Christ Illusion was kinda cool though, although unbelievably derivative of older Slayer, as is this new song.

New stuff is still better than 99% of black metal.
