Just giving a heads up to the people here that there's a Boston show supposedly planned.
raw radar war was just amazing. this band needs to play MORE. i looked at the longish set list, but then realized that it was all 1 minute songs. they raged and were done so quickly.
Doomriders were supposed to play, but the Foo Fighters showed up instead and did High On Fire covers. Pretty good actually.

Rorschach was awesome. I really don't know how to describe that band. Truly violent riffing that just lulls you into a hypnotic state before breaking out into fast almost PV style heaviness.
the song that I said was doomrider's best song ever was Lions on the set list. that song is so good. Funny, I was falling asleep before getting to the show, wide awake for the 3hrs I was at the show and the minute I left, it was tug-o-war with my eyelids.
Rorschach was decent.. and then the singer said something like "we are going to play all 'new' songs". After that, they were a force of nature. I think that was also the time when they hit critical mass and the guitar is stage left fell down for no reason. Everything was bumped up a notch and in the end, seeing drew, mike, mike, and others singing along with the guest singer warmed my cold little heart.
the way I would describe this audience is receding hair lines and high cholesterol. Here's to being in your 30s!
Glad I was one of the people in the crowd that wasn't a statistic.

doomriders and their ilk always struck me as people who are striving to free their inner dirtbag but are inevitably limited by their hardcore roots. sometimes you should just leave being dirtbags to real dirtbags.
