After 7 years since the inception of the band, the atmospheric black metal band ABAROTH is finally releasing their first full length.
A few weeks ago I posted the old demo we did.. after a few delays, the new album now is out.
E.A. Koetting of the Ordo Ascensum
Aetyrnalis contributed to additional lyrics and words. I am currently doing some guest stuff with them as well and did the ambient track at the end.
I know, but there was a posting here in one of the forums once telling me not to shoot pictures of them cause they aren't part of the "scene". At that dee dee's show, I think the singer didn't want me using flash.
aril this is great stuff, thanks for the copy. i was kind of short with you guys at the show; i had a lot on my mind and a band room to supervise..haha. come down to the providence show on saturday the 8th and we'll all have time to chill. i was blasting it driving through scenic western mass the other day. once i forced myself to stop dwelling on the drum machine, i heard a lot of summoning, dissection, and some sick atmosphere. will be spinning for a while.
no problem, I could tell you were amped up about your show anyway.
sweet, good to hear. i'll relay the words over to them. and future releases will probably have real drums..
maybe a live band too. who knows, I don't?
if abaroth reformed as a live band then chances are I'd just hop back in and play with them and contribute to the writing. I really don't know because i'm not really in the band anymore.. althouh I'd like to be again because I was one of the founding members haha.
So I was listening to the Abaroth album. It's really good stuff! But one thing stood out for me. The fourth track, Eclipsed by Misery, has a distinctly Beatles/waltz feel (at least to me). I can't help but think of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, but with thin black metal guitars and grim vocals. This is incredibly awesome and one of my favorites tracks on the album. Just wanted to say that.
wrenloveart: listened to both songs last night and could kind of see what you're saying. definitely doesn't give me the same feel though, that's for sure haha.
