Yeah man, how many shows is your band playing over the summer?
I don't have a band. We called it quits after 8 years because we had enough. I've played plenty of shows. I now jam with a friend of mine weekly and totally have fun. Selling tickets is for fags. If you don't like it, fight me or you are a pussy.
Delusions of grandeur are gayer than playing for fun (or you are a pussy).
*Pro-tip: if you want your band to be respected and taken seriously, don't pay to play. I'll guarantee that Revocation didn't get picked up on Relapse from constantly paying to play.
I hope they don't need nine opening bands to make She Rides guarantee. It's not exactly an epic ride from Rhoad Island. You could probably pay Joe with beers and chinese food.
somehow this thread stealthily crossed the line from *shrug off insults they dont matter* to *"yea well hows your band doing" I dont care what you think but im still holding my cool i swear... oh and im better than you. ::Comedic distraction::*
Pay to play is a ethically wrong end of story don't take offense to it and the sooner you learn it the better it is for everyone.
