Hey if anyone from the rochester, dover, somersworth area of NH is going to that and feels like giving a complete stranger a ride then i'd be more than happy. I'd give you gas money. And im serious. |

succubus. |
mycradleofnails, if I were working in rochester and coming back to portsmouth, I would. |
The show is going to be a good time, make sure you catch all the bands while they're here. If you're an OBW fan, this will probably be your only chance to catch them with their original lead singer due to an injury until metalfest in may. |
I'll be there.
tell one of the bands to guest list me as a photographer.
the guy that owns that place always has different issues with me coming in with a camera. |
don't bring in the knives yer "gf got you" since they are illegal in MA |
does he think you're a secret spy, there to take photos of his amazing club? |

apparently you never took strippers home from johnny jacks at 3 am and end up skinny dipping in some random pool at an apartment complex after drinking a pint of jagermeister and a six pack and then get yelled at by some guy going to work at 4 am for making alot of noise in the pool. it funny getting yelled at when i am drunk, naked, dripping wet and holding my dick |
I got in all fine with my camera and all.
working on the pictures now, sweet romeo |
the pictures are uploading. |
sorry, I fell asleep.

I'll give you a review
Moments In Grace: Boring.... so I left....
From A Second Story Window: Great
Remembering Never: Really great
Since The Flood: Really fucking great
On Broken Wings: Really, really fucking great
There, the void has been filled.
Haha, I started the night off in Providence at the Poison The Well/Thrice show. I bought my ticket way back when they went on sale because I knew it would sell out and I had no idea this show would end up being the same night. But I had a photo pass so I was content... or so I thought. Got there, no pass, called Thrice's tour manager, they aren't doing passes on this tour but professional cameras were ok. So I went in, scoped out the scene (new Lupos is VERY nice BTW) and realized I didn't feel like dealing with a sold out show and knew my pictures would suck, so I left to go up to this show and made it just in time to see MOST of FASSW.
Another random story, I get to the door, no idea who the two kids at the door were, had my wallet out, ready to pay, and the kid just hands me a ticket and says I am all set. I don't know who they were but if they are reading this thanks and stuff!! Maybe they thought I was the Rev who was begging to get in for free :-P |

club: When I came in, big backpack and all, I had my cellphone in my hand and they guy at the door patted me down. then when he felt my cc in my pocket, told me to take everything out of my pockets. As I started to do this, he went to a street fighter position with his fist jogging out in front of him. it was very akward. he's also the littlest and only white bouncer there. someone's got penis envy, I think.
for the first 3 bands there was a 1 person only moshing policy. something about a tag team mosh or something. the owner as usualy talked about the bartender, how this was the only blah blah and blah blah blah. I really never under stand a word he says and I think he grabbed my ass as he went by me.
calico system: I'd never seen these guys before. I walked in during their set and went to the back to get things ready to shoot. that was my biggest mistake... maybe this band is good, but when I went to the back to hunt for ear plugs, I found that the speakers in the back of the club went on eleven! and not only that, but the only thing coming through was the singers voice! it was freaking annoying. I went up to the front, but again, all that was coming through the front was the singers voice. it sounded really bad. I hope they are at the sick-as-sin fest with the rest of the tour so I can hear what they really sound like.
from a second story window: I'm not sure why, but their signer wasn't there. this might have something to do with the "personal reasons" for dropping off a few dates of the tour, but I don't know. the guy that was filling in was from some other band. Again, the sound system was messed and his vocals were the only thing that was mic'ed and turned up way too loud. he kept appologizing about things too. the rest of the band was crazy as usual. I need their cd for my radio show.
rememering never: they showed up basically right when they were going on. short set. at some point some people were dancing TWO AT A TIME!!! and the bouncers would grab them to stop them. the mic was f'd and there was tons of feed back, but it started sounding better at this point. They played their "closing" song, but then the auburn system guys (who were putting on the show) gave them time for another song.
club: at this point, the kids in the club were like "I came for STF so it's time to dance, have fun, and get kicked out." as usually, the bouncers just gave up. there were actually twice the normal number of bouncers here on this evening for some weird reason.
since the flood: it sounded pretty great for their set. kevin leary (the offical STF second stringer) was playing fill in for Dave. I'm guessing dave is daving spring break in cancun. The crowd had a lot of fun, but was thankfully controlled enough not to get the show shut down. For some reason, they brought in some other bouncer at this point that didn't seem to understand what was going on... he kept pulling his fist out whenever anyone got near him.
on broken wings: I expected this to be a lot more brutal that it was. Jonathan (singer) blew out his knee earlier in this tour and had a fill it. I don't know who was filling in, but he doesn't have the range that the real singer has. yes, that's right I said range. Jonathan's got low and br00tal and high-ptched vulture sounds, the new singer just has a tough-guy-ish voice. I guess on tour, go to see them for their breakdowns like everyone else. the real singer was there are did 2-3 songs. one of which was a rap-instro... I must say, it was surprisingly well done... |
that person at the door was mr. negativecreep (the auburn system) |
Looks like a faggot fest. |
how many people showed up? |
I was getting shitty wit Fitty at MTV spring break in negril Jamiaca! |
