I believe this is EVOKEN's first show in the U.S. since returning from their recent European tour. Although all the way out in Philly, EVOKEN are probably one of the only U.S. bands I would travel to see. You won't see a heavier band than this.

I tried to make a Satanism at Cherry St with them before our drummer leaves, but it just wasn't meant to be.

I tried booking them up here (MA), but talks went into obscurity, which happens these guys. I know they have families and lives so it's understandable. They were supposed to play with Candlemass last year in NY, but the promoters wanted them to sell tickets, in order to play. So, you have one of the top Doom bands, that actually hails from the NY/NJ area, and you wouldn't just put them on that show? Absolutely absurd.

"Just a quick update. Our upcoming show in Philadelphia is now canceled. Due to problems we are having with a unreliable venue, and aspects of this show changing, we no longer feel it would benefit us or our fans to continue with this show.

In the meantime, we have added another show set for July 16th in Brooklyn, NY, and will be posted on the site in the next 24 hours. We apologize to anyone who was hoping to see us.. This will not be our only attempt at coming to Philadelphia.
