I'm sure Blue is as worried about his fest as I am about my Pigsty/Jig-Ai show. I didn't go last year because I was too bust driving my car into trees and if I'm not playing it this year I doubt I'll go this year because it's not my taste in music.. but as far as I can tell people went, had a good time, bought merch, kicked asian people in the face, etc. I expect more of the same this year.

i try not to ever read the lyrics from bands i like. Usually it ruins the music for me. Hearing what most people write songs about makes the song seem a little sillier in my eyes. I like to interpret for myself.

And the anti-religion lyrics really do it for me too.... because I have serious problems with religion... Usually though, when i am really into a song/record, I like interpreting the emotion myself. I don't like realizing that a song was written out of the anger from losing a girl. lame.

lyrics are important to me, which is a big part of why I'm not a fan of alot of DM, some Grind, and pretty much all BM, give or take a few bands...this will sound like a hasty generalization, but the gore stuff just sounds goofy to me, unless it's done with creativity, which is very hard to find

that's pretty much my feeling too. primordial's lyrics for example i can really connect with. i can't listen to a lot of folk/rock unless the lyrics are excellent. death/thrash/black metal bands have lyrics ranging from terrible to excellent so you really gotta pick and choose between which bands you can understand and which bands you can't, haha
