toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Jan 27,2009 10:51am

Diary of the dead was an abortion. Land was tolerable. I will see this but only when it comes out on dvd.

Looks better than Diary of the dead. But has the film quality of a Sci Fi original movie.

you guys are too hard on the man. He makes great movies. Sure, diary wasn't exactely good, but i would watch it before 90% of the shit that comes out today.(i know, that's not saying much) i don't care what anyone says, EVERY Romero besides diary kicks ass. I love land, i think it's corny as hell, but still a good zombie movie. I can't fucking wait for this one, i will see it in the theaters opening night on mescaline.

It only looks that way due to it being shown before all the editing and complete production is done. it will look better (the real deal movie look) Trying to find the link where I read this.

EDIT: Taken from another board:

Yeah, it looks cheap because it's not been through post production yet so the colours looks a little bland, a lot of sound effects are missing (punch to head) or dubbed in with simple temp effects (gunshots), also the light-dark range is quite narrow and it hasn't yet been given that "shot-on-film" grain. The trailer has obviously been composed from a rough working edit of the film, and everyone can rest assured that even $100 million Hollywood blockbusters go through the same process and that these "issues" are routinely ironed out in post-production.

I actually think the movie looks great for film that's not even finished yet.

Land was only tolerable because of Dennis Hopper

Then, why release a trailer? Seems senseless to me

when youve made classic like night and dawn, youll never get back to that level. so lets agree that we'll prob all this one way or another,a nd enjoy it on some level

I highly doubt this was a teaser, probably more like an investor reel that someone should have kept a tighter lid on. They should never have let it be viewed by the public.

sounds like an awesome concept

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Jan 27,2009 11:39am
that would make sense....because I don't see a good reason why anyone involved with the film would want to release that to the public
