im at this show in braintree now. the crowd is by far the youngest crowd I've been in possibly ever.

toggletoggle post by Dave_Maggot   at Jan 24,2009 7:37pm
hah, you saw my brother. i almost went to that.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 24,2009 7:41pm
yes I did though I refused to believe that he was actually related to you since he was not drunk or crunk and everyone is related to mark, not you.

farwell whatever, it was their first show. they were what I was expecting on this show.

looking for alaska played on the floor. there was no moshing, but it reminded me of the shows that I used to go to years ago at vfw's. minus the moshing of course. funny because a lot of L4A's sound reminds me of back then too. twice during the set they all fell down like dominos. the second time was at the last second when there was a micromosh.

wake up paper city was so weird. it was a throwback to the mid to late 90's that is for sure. the music ran the gambit from poppy punk to hardcore to grove (almost funky) while the singer (I believe his name is dennis and put on this show) screamed. this back to barrit, orcid, strike anywhere, and even sam black church if you check them out. a few of the limited clean vocals were meh, but over all I was impressed and they should play a show with astronomer. srsly. I hope that the recorded tracks hold up to the live sound.

some band with the eork plague in the name was pretty good. I wasn't expecting that. the had some parts that sounded like receiving end of sirens. since they were a tourig band the were tight. oddly there were too many people there for them. still it was enough of a crowd for them to have fun with out moshing. there was one single crowd surfer.

why'd you go all the way to braintree for this show?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 24,2009 9:20pm
cause I thought you were going to be here

toggletoggle post by niccolai   at Jan 24,2009 9:20pm
Mofugga.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 24,2009 9:22pm
the band that is on now keeps saying "what's good". I would like to yell "popcorn puppies kittens and icecream" but he doesn't pause long enough.

toggletoggle post by niccolai   at Jan 24,2009 9:29pm
It's not enough just having your own oppinions on food an animals? you haveto press your views on the rest of the show-going population?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 24,2009 9:33pm
you are fucking right I do. im like the people in PCU, but instead of tossing meat, I toss veggie hotdogs an veggie sides of beef. then I yell "take that chickpea asshole".

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 25,2009 12:07am
working on pictures now... then i need to find out who the bands were.
I mostly have no ideas... mostly.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 25,2009 12:18am
I think one of those bands is wrong... semester abroad.
pictures will be uploading shortly.

toggletoggle post by wheh at Jan 25,2009 2:04am
the crowd was rather young tonight.
and great pictures, as usual!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 25,2009 2:50am
yeah, wicked young.

toggletoggle post by reimroc at Jan 25,2009 8:35am edited Jan 25,2009 8:36am
i spy trendy scene fashion

toggletoggle post by niccolai   at Jan 25,2009 10:36am
hahaha

literally no one in the building is looking at the band.

toggletoggle post by ryanmaxwell at Jan 25,2009 10:57am
haha, thats the "micro-mosh" part rev was talkin about during our set. they were mosh nazis at that place. thanks a lot for commin rev.

toggletoggle post by wheh at Jan 25,2009 10:59am
it was cause some kid tried to start a mosh and shoved a ton of kids onto the floor

toggletoggle post by ryanmaxwell at Jan 25,2009 11:07am edited Jan 25,2009 11:08am
yeah, my buddy greg. then he decided to go fight for his money back from the stuck up 15 yr old obese girl runnin the door. JESUSROKSNOT!

toggletoggle post by ryanmaxwell at Jan 25,2009 11:09am
and yes id like to add that this place was 150+ underaged girls, and the band dudes. quite a sight, lol.

toggletoggle post by niccolai   at Jan 25,2009 11:20am
get any sweet underage handjobs?

toggletoggle post by reimroc at Jan 25,2009 11:42am
remember guys girls are like square routes; 13 and under do them in your head.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 25,2009 12:23pm
oh yeah? what is the sqrt of 2.2 or 12.1?

toggletoggle post by reg at Jan 25,2009 5:58pm
young croud cause it was a fundraiser for youth group or some shit

toggletoggle post by dennis at Jan 25,2009 7:58pm
all the pictures look fucking sick and thanks for the little review of my band. the band tagged as Semester Abroad is actually "Chris Albert and the Affective Collective" though. and these braintree shows always attract younger crowds, i don't know why, but every middle school student (and maybe some high school freshmen) in braintree comes to these shows month after month.

toggletoggle post by eli_hhcb at Jan 25,2009 8:25pm
I'm jealous of that dually.

toggletoggle post by someonee at Jan 30,2009 12:46am
It was such a young crowd because it was for youth group....so obviously there were gonna be young people there. and like the youngest was 9th grade....maybe 8th.
but most of the bands are wicked nice and will still talk to the younger ones.
so i don't see what the big deal is with young people going to see bands they like.

toggletoggle post by ryanmaxwell at Jan 30,2009 2:58am
there is no problem, it was a statement. chill.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 30,2009 6:09am
their cash is just as good. I will fix that band name when I get to a computer.
