1.0 sucked. I like 2.1.
sound booth is way too confusing.

audacity is nice and free, but the interface is aids

audacity is fine, the interface isn't that bad. It's a little messy when you have a dozen+ tracks going on, but it works.

sonar 8 is a pretty spiffy program.

if you need something free, get reaper. reaper is a full-featured program at no cost.
