It was funny how many people flipped off Devildriver. I haven't seen as bad of a crowd reaction to a band since King's X opened for Dio in 2002.

moonspell: ok, I've liked one song from moonspell, but this time they rocked. it wasn't all "see how much like type-o you can be". As a Matter of fact, they only played 2 tracks that I didn't really care for. during mephisto, the bass end of the drums sucked.. it was so annoying and vibrating. during the last song, the singer played drums. It would have made a cool picture, oh well.

devil driver: well, a lot of young girls with low tops (who found their way backstage later on) seemed to really like them. I personally can't get into them. I like a lot of the drums and guitars, but then Dez breaks in with his annoying voice. oh well. at some point here, carina got punched in the nose. I think that same crowd surfer landed on me during opeth, but I wasn't sure. yeah for being tall.

the moor is on there. I'm pretty sure that's basically the set they played. someone correct me if I'm wrong. Opeth gets more and more "talkative" the more they come around. I remember 3 years ago and they barely said anything. now, it's like a quote-o-ramma up there. "he'll get me into DIO and then I'll be old, fat, and gay".
as stated before, this was the last show of the tour. they informed us that they will be heading home and will start work on the next cd. they claim that they won't be back for 1-2 years. I guess that they will work out something amazing. "or we could have a shit album done in 2 weeks and be back out on tour".

it was really nice meeting you, jellyfish, abath (who I think I met before), retzem, the 11 year old Opeth fan who rock.
about 2/3 through opeth's set, the 11 year old and his brother got pulled out. the brother should have stayed, I would have gotten the 11 year old to stand in the photopit with me.
I thought retzam was one of the kids from dissector for a second.

the palladium staff rocks as usual. I'm definitely bringing them a token gift next show. the crowd surfing was minimal so they would catch kids just before they hit the ground. there was some retarded devil driver fan (chick) that tried to get the security to boost her into the crowd. I bet her mom or dad picked her up after the show.

I'm not sure.. but I think someone is giving dez an arm to stand on.

It was also rediculous to see the amount of assclowns holding up their hands for devildriver. THEY FUCKING SUCK!!!!!!! It pissed me off to see how many nu-metal posers there were at this show... that faggot coal chamber singer has the shittiest vocals ever. The only remotely cool thing about this band is that the drummer was wearing a sam black church shirt. He wore this shirt the last two times I had to sit through their gay shit... What is up with the bass player wearing a SUFFOCATION shirt? how can he play that garbage and wear it? I think someone was thinking the same thing because I saw a two bottles thrown at the guy. Also a bottle was thrown at the singer, homo.

That show was a treat. It was an honor to meet Abbath, Josiah the Black, Reverand and succubus. As for the bands, Moonspell was enjoyable, Devil Driver was worse than hatebreed, and I think Opeth spoke for themselves. And if that kid who hit succubus is whho Im thinking of, I pulled hs fucking shoe off his foot at one point because the cock smack almost broke my fucking neck. Ass.

devildriver's bassist sucks and Opeth's bass tone was really flat and at times you could hear it popping really loud. a little low end would have evened everything out and made the bass that uch better. but whatever... Opeth ruled. Moonspell and Devildriver sucked really bad. Moonspell sucked less because they had the evil scepter of unholy grimness which was carved straight from the colon of Satan himself. there were too many gay kids at the show.

I didn't see Abbath, Jellyfish, or Swamplord, but to the Rev and Carina, it was nice meeting you guys (in a way it was kind of like meeting legends) and I'm sorry about your nose Carina.

i hauled ass at rev and carina in the parking garage... my wagon rules so so much B-)

I don't know. I didn't like Devil Driver at all, but I thought that the singer's high growl sounded really good. It almost reminded me of some of Garm's earlier stuff. Maybe it was just the effects he was putting it through though.

Haha, I just remembered, I got decked in the pit. I was jumping around like a lunatic during Blackwater Park and while I was in the air someone slammed me. I flew a good 7 feet or so to the edge of the pit and fell over, so the guy ran over and pulled me up and I patted him on the shoulder. Fun times. I don't usually mosh, but Mikael said he wanted to see a big famous Worcester mosh pit, so I wanted to get involved (it was great during April Ethereal).

moonspell - i was waiting for the set to end the whole time, and then when i thought it was over, the singer busted out satan's pimp-stick and they played more awful music. i guess they used to be called morbid goat way back when...it all makes sense now.

devil driver - as far as i'm concerned, they aren't musicians, and they made the sound system suck by playing through it. way to use a snare trigger, jackass.

opeth - my first time seeing them, and i was impressed. couldn't understand much of what they were saying on stage, but they rocked nonetheless.

highlights-
labyrinth in the car ride back c/o spalding.
seeing rev and carina, and hearing about how she drank pee.
my metal head "friend" who tried to pick a fight with me outside of the show.
spalding's parking job at the convenient store.
the kid in line at the convenient store.
spalding hauling ass past the old people in the garage, as well as rev and carina.
