Hahaha, Mark your reaction is pretty much the same as mine when they first contacted me a few months back. They are pretty unique technical metal that touches on just about all the sub-genres. I think they are all Berklee students. In October they filled in on a Metal Thursday at the last minute when Your Pain Is Endearing canceled. One of their songs had a long Santana-esque jam in the middle of it and I swear half the crowd joined in a conga line... it was surreal.

Hahaha, that is awesome. If I'm able to make the hour and a half trek out there, I'll be there.

powernap was lots of fun. yeah i'd go just for them. they need to play earlier. i need to not wake up at 4:30 for work. Way more people would go to a metal friday if you just get all the shitty college indie pop rock bands out of there.

I'm probably going to be there. probably.

I'll need to see your press credentials before you're allowed in. I don't want anyone throwing shoes at the stage.

Old code faith: ran in just as they started, not to shabby and they brought most of the crowd. They aslo did a testament cover which rules. Most of their set, I was fighting with my camera. Damn thing! I want my good camera back.

In human form: I kept convincing myself that they were in harms way. All the members of this band were amazing musicians. The guitarists traded playing leads back and forth. But wow, that drummer was insane. Idk what other bands he's in, but was he friggin good. The singer was the singer for diatribal revenge. I had to look it up on the second stage of sick as sin fest cause I forgot. I knew it was him and then when he started to throw himself at the ground and singing on his knees, I knew it fersher.

Powernap: hilarious fun music. They mix in a little of everything in the guise of power metal. That rules. Reminds me a little of strapping young lad's ability to have a good time on stage.

I would also like to add that skull hammer rule. most old school metal lead guy ever with some of the least looking metal guys ever. his main guitar broke a string and he switched to a non-metal looking geetar.
