Who's with me on this?

In Death - Is Life, In Death - Is Death are redonkulous.

eh, I don't like how it's structured. the CD needs to be listened straight through

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Nov 19,2008 9:44am
This is the only Meshuggah album that does nothing for me.

toggletoggle post by pires at Nov 19,2008 11:41am
nothing did othong for me. Zing!

toggletoggle post by pires at Nov 19,2008 11:42am
that's nothing did nothing for me. Damn iPhone and my fat fingers don't get along too well

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Nov 19,2008 11:50am
Shit, I forgot about Nothing. That CD also did nothing for me, since I forgot it so easily.

Straws Pulled at Random is one hell of a tune, though

Nothing and Catch 33 are awesome.

toggletoggle post by MadOakDevin  at Nov 19,2008 8:17pm
mike! where is your comment???

I haven't listened to this album in a bit, but there is one song that sounds like they are playing backwards... sooo sick.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 19,2008 8:19pm
Nothing and Catch 33 are exact opposites.
Nothing is like their nu-metal CD.
Catch 33 is radio unfriendly

toggletoggle post by MadOakDevin  at Nov 19,2008 8:20pm
i disagree with nothing being nu-metal. it sounds like a sludge album done by meshuggah.

toggletoggle post by sever at Nov 19,2008 9:19pm
nothing is just the grooviest album. I wouldnt go as far as to say nu-metal.

toggletoggle post by secthammer at Nov 19,2008 10:44pm
Either way i still have an unhealthy obsession with these guys

toggletoggle post by archaeon at Nov 19,2008 10:50pm
I really wish all their shit didn't sound exactly the fucking same. Theres a few songs that are fucking awesome. some sick grooves.

Nothing also did nothing for me, but i really like Catch 33. its a 49 minute song. it should have been like "I" or "AJ" where it was one long song. separating by vocal parts is kind of dumb.

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Nov 20,2008 8:38am
didn't like Catch 33 at all, but I like pretty much the rest of their catalog

Most albums should be though. I hate skipping around to different tracks.

Catch 33 is like getting drawn into a black hole while your brain is being flooded with a high concentration of DMT. The afterglow only arrives when you're excreted back into the continuum.

Agreed; it's definitely Meshuggah's Doom album. "Nebulous" alone is unbelievably crushing and lethargically paced. If that's what nu-metal sounds like, count me as a fan, I guess.

Yeah Catch 33 is a great album for listening on hallucinogens.. Any Meshuggah album is really, but that one really takes you on a trip.

i've listened to Chaosphere and I on mushrooms, i'm interested to try Catch 33 and ObZen.
