Yeah, not a huge soilwork fan now. Although "Steelbath Suicide" and "Chainheart Machine" are frieking Gnarly albums. I loves em. It was the same with darkane, although it was their demo that was good. You can hear parts of it off a "War music" comp. (Comp from the now defunct label War Music) It had two Nagelfar songs (one from vittra, one from Diabolic), two darkane songs, a cryptopsy song (slit your guts-from none so vile) one arch enemy song, a REAL old in flames song, two Euchurist songs (Best band from gothenburg, daniel erlandsson-drums from arch enemy/recent carcass tour) an armageddon song (christopher ammott from arch enemy) a dimension zero song (in flames-brutaler side project), and a great "In thy dreams" song from thier first and greatest album - "at the gates of pleasure" all in all this sampler was top notch, and it was the first stuff ALL of these bands released, so it's cool, especially since you can't find some of it otherwise. Like the darkane.

I am recalling all these names from memory, so my spelling is probably bad.

Too bad this show wasn't happening during the Predator's Portrait era.

no one from CM is getting back to me, but I will probably still be there.

toggletoggle post by i_am_not_me   at Feb 12,2009 3:59am
I keep fucking forgetting Swallow the Sun is on this show.

I'm definitely fucking going. But I'll probably miss Swallow the Sun since I have to work until 7-ish.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 12,2009 1:53pm
ok, I'm there.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 12,2009 5:56pm
leaving in a few minutes.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 12,2009 9:11pm

Swallow the sun might be the best band in the world, but their sound was so flat.

Warbringer ripped. The only bad thing I can say about this band is that they didn't know onslaught was already a band when they formed. The best part of the set was when someone yelled "PLAY ENDLESS NIGHTMARE".

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 12,2009 10:01pm

Im sure darkane sounded great in the audience. They had EVERYTHING going through a DI besides the drums. From on stage, all I could hear were the drums. The drummer is an amazing drummer which made it ok that that was all I could heard.

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Feb 13,2009 1:10am
Darkane sounded awful from the audience. Soilwork as well. Warbringer ruled! Swallow The Sun I missed dammit.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 13,2009 1:31am
soilwork sounded "ok" from the stage. the problem is that they DI'd so much.
Soilwork did at least use their cabs.

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Feb 13,2009 1:59am
The one song I could make out was Shadowchild, but that was probably only because it was one of the first metal songs I was introduced/discovered. That was kinda awesome. The rest was way too muddy.

Also was there a pic taken when I half-punched your camera? haha I was curious how that came out.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 13,2009 7:25am
I don't think I snapped then.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Feb 13,2009 1:21pm
Good show. Missed the openers because our food took fucking 2 hours, but good show none the less.

I am hungover as hell though. Ow.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Feb 13,2009 1:25pm
