Anyone else a fan of this relatively obscure band from Chile? I think Draining the Waterheart might be my top pick for 2008.

Love them!

Just ordered the limited A5 Digibook (with bonus MCD) from RedStream.

surprised I didn't see this thread earlier. Great stuff.
My other favorite from Chile is Uaral.

Did they ever officially release anything, or just a couple of demos?

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Nov 7,2008 5:16pm
Uaral? They have an album called Sounds of Pain.

The UARAL- Lamentos a Poema Muerto CD I got from eBay is very underwhelming, I was disappointed.

Sounds of Pain? You serious? I fucking love that album. I like their EP more..

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Nov 7,2008 5:21pm
Oh shit. I didn't read that CD unless you edited your post. That one..
Did you enjoy sounds of pain though?

I'll have to look into that, I liked what little I heard from them awhile back. South America seems to have a pretty good scene going, it should get more recognition.

Mar de Grises reminds me of Daylight Dies a little bit. I think they're better though.
Great atmosphere.
