If you vote yes on 1 the next time you want to take something out from the library you'll find the item isn't there because we couldn't afford to get it.

FACT.

(***predicted answer: fuck the library, I'll buy it myself with the money I saved from no taxes, etc.)

yes on 1 assumes that the state will magically becoming fiscally responsible because their hand will be forced.

well, my good friends, I say to you, "l-o-fucking-l"

They are totally unconstitutional, that's a fact. Taxing on the individual was an amendment that never went was passed. And i also know that they are making cuts anyways, which they should in fact do, because i agree there is some wasteful spending. But there are still too many programs that would be shut down if the income tax was abolished.

First of all, the arguement that income tax is unconstitutional only applies to federal income tax.

Second, you people realize that question #1 is non-binding right? Even if it passes, it means nothing.

Fortunately, question #2 is binding so vote YES ON 2, assholes.

i don't think it matters what a DEA agent thinks, even if they arrest you with less than an ounce, once you get to court you will not get jail time. Or probation for that matter, and that's why it's so important.

That is so fucking retarded. Weed isn't even the main issue here, its about resources. Do these people you know really want their tax dollars to keep being spent on arresting, prosecuting, and putting on probation people who got caught with a little bit of weed?

Anyone who votes yes on 1 and also no on 2 needs to be castrated.

Weed is no worse than alcohol or nicotine.

I only smoke weed every so often, so whatever goes through on question 2 doesn't really effect me personally, but I think if alcohol and nicotine are legal, why not marijuana?

I don't think anyone is incarcerated for simple possession. Maybe if there's someone out there with like 20 convictions but I doubt that.

The only way you're going to jail for that is if you get convicted, get put on probation, and then you violate your probation. And that's a whole other can of worms.

first off, the "people" i know are office duchebags downtown, and i obviously don't agree/condone/excuse their decisions. Secondly, i know people who were incarcerated for it. Just possession. Under an ounce too, granted it was a short period, but it is possible, and no - Question 2 would not be retroactive, anyone incarcerated/on probation for minor possession, would continue serving whatever sentence they had received.;

Sentenced, or just couldn't make bail? How many priors did they have?

Over the last 10-15 years I've been busted for weed 4 times and it wasn't even until the 4th time that they wouldn't cwaf it anymore. And then it was still only a fine. There has got to be more to their stories than just simple posession.

Just saw this:

"The proposition will become law 30 days after it’s reported to the Governor’s Council, which usually meets in late November or early December. But the Legislature could amend or repeal the new law, as they've done with some prior laws passed by the voters, said Emily LaGrassa, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Martha Coakley. The Associated Press called the outcome at about 9:20 p.m."

You think they have the balls to overturn a massive majority vote like that? I bet they do.

5 grams of treebs + sandwich bag covered in Fluff residue = intent to distribute

He wasn't on your ballot because you don't live in his district.

I know why he wasn't on my ballot

I would vote against him because he was a big part of why our economy is the way it is.

Like I said before, question 2 doesn't effect me much (I did vote yes), so I don't care that much about it. The economy effects everyone, therefore, I don't think he deserves to retain his job.
