A non-CD-quality version of SLAYER's new track "Psychopathy Red" — which is set to appear on the band's forthcoming album, due out summer 2009 — has surfaced on YouTube and can be streamed below. The Jeff Hanneman-penned song gives a chilling look into the twisted mind of Andrei Chikatilo, a notorious Russian serial killer.

The members of SLAYER spent a couple of weeks in a Southern California recording studio earlier this month tracking three new songs, including "Psychopathy Red".

Diabolus In Musica was a mallcore album...well, more like a borderline rapcore album.

God Hates Us All was meh at best; it had some strong points, but overall it was uninspired filler. I wouldn't say mallcore, but I also wouldn't say it was good.

Christ Illusion was thrashy, but missing everything that makes a good Slayer song.

This new songs shows promise. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but it's definitely already a step up. Finally they're writing catchy riffs again. This kind of reminds me of Hypnosia, musically (if you haven't heard them, look up the album "Extreme Hatred").

Badass, finally something in 18 years I can say I have actually liked that Slayer has done. I can't wait to see if the whole album is going to be like this!

SLAYER = PROPHETS -l-

anyway, i agree that this is very late 80's Slayer sounding, back to the old school.
my dick is kinda hard now.

I agree.

They're closing in on what made people love Slayer, and have stopped listening to their record label.

I agree.

They're closing in on what made people love Slayer, and have stopped listening to their record label and turned Kerry's amp off and let the true musician in the band start writing again!

Chikatilo's only sexual experience in adolescence was when he, aged 18, jumped on a 13-year-old girl (his sister's friend) and wrestled her to the ground, ejaculating as the girl struggled in his grasp.

that's some fuckin hot shit

Holy shit, this sounds like it could be an outtake from the Reign In Blood recordings. Best stuff I've heard them do since Divine Intervention. Rumor is that after this album they will call it a career. If that's true, they have a chance at going out on a high note.

wtf is mallcore? is it the same as fartcore or youraretardcore? i got it lets just call it ihateitwhenbandschangetheirsoundcore cuz no band should ever do that cuz faggots like u go emo instead of being open minded.

I wonder what Kerry King will pull out of his ass on this album.. more jumpy riffs that make old school fans just drop their head in shame! Worship me Kerry you fucken bald fag! Become what you once were the creator of cynical and dark fury of fire that ravaged the metal scene... Or just go bald and then play crappy jump along riffs! Die!

toggletoggle post by IllinoisEnemaBradness at Nov 4,2008 1:42pm
wow, was that a bass guitar? i heard Geddy Lee played on the demo cuz Araya can't play it and sing it.
