New site? Maybe some day.
this saturday, there is a party at my house.
wanna come early and start the day with a brew session? |
this, i am totally in for. Lets do it. What do i need to bring this time? |
well, i have yeast covered (i got a culture of an english ale, and a vial of "Cry Havoc"...the Charlie Papazian yeast strain)
i have a can of hopped dark extract and a 3 pound bag of dry amber extract
and i have one ounce of hops.
so basically, i think i got most of it covered, so we can do one of two things.....we can either make a nice easy drinkin beer with the ingredients i got, and you guys can just grab a few additives (coffee, or herbs, or oak cubes.....somethin like that).
or, you guys can grab 10 pounds of grain, and another vile of super high gravity, and we can mix that shit with the ingredients i got and make another monster
up to you |
i like the monter idea.... but i will check in with aaron and see what he thinks. |
cool man....
i am down with either one.
see you saturday -l-
i'd show up but we're taking band pictures that day. have fun |
too bad ya can't make it bro, should be a blast. |
ouchdrummer any updates lemme know |
where you guys located? theres a little buzz goin around about the stafford homebrewers society here.
we will be brewing in attleboro. Although me and my bud aaron do a lot of brewing in Allston. |
ctB0rderpatrol.....if you want in, just let me know, i brew a least twice a month (at my apartment in Attleboro), and Ouchdrummer & Aaron will probably be joining me at least once a month.
Jim....any clue what you guys are planning on recipe wise yet? |
i just got a brilliant idea (if you guys do wanna make this into a monster beer) let's use some intersting base malt.
3 pounds each
Vienna
Munich
Marris Otter
Imported (Belgian or German would be best) 2 row
and one pound each
Movarian Well Modified
and
American 6 row |
oh, and no need to buy any beer this time, i got it covered.
i got lots to drink |
What time is this going to commence? |
that recipe sounds brilliant to me orgy. I think we just might get those things.... you got beer huh? You still got my pennecketik? (sp?) What horror do we have on the menu for friday? And should i maybe bring over stuff to cook? I am sure i told you i was an executive chef before i became a professional bullshit artist. I was thinkin that since the range will be busy with beer the whole time i would use 1 burner on the range to do some garlic new-potato mashed (i spice em up real good) and maybe i would bake us a big ol' meatloaf. It ain't your mamas meatloaf. My meatload is legendary, pork, veal, beef, lamb, it's fantastic. And maybe even a dark cherry-veloute for the meat. mmmmmmm..
Or we could just go with the pizza place again.... But no seriously, i would love to do some cooking, and you guys will love it too. How many people are we expecting? Meatloaf and mashed are good for big groups/eaters cause i can cook two 10lbs meatloafs at the same time, and do about 6 or 7 pounds of potatoes, and it will be very reasonably priced. It will absolutely be cheaper than ordering food, and much better.
And i think this time that we will try to catch the 10 again, so we would be there around 11. |
yeah man, i got some homebrew, i got some really good aged beer, and i plan on buying a case of sam adams (or something like that....tasty but affordable). and yes, i still have your pennichuk bro... i told ya i wouldn't drink it on ya!
hey if you're really in the mood for cookin, i'm sure that would make everyone happy (especially jayme, she loves not having to cook or pay for pizza, hah)
meatloaf is excellent, and those potatoes sound great.
the only thing that might be a pain in your ass is that, if it's too spicy, jayme can't eat it, and i can't do anything with onions.... i will vomit the second i bite into an onion.
but regardless of what you make, if you definately wanna cook, we can go to the grocery store when you get there!
i am psyched..
i'm not sure how many to expect, we'll know by the time we go to the store though!
Best Brewer In Boston Hands Down ....if you are really that good, please come join/school us! |
like jim said, he'll be at my house around eleven, we'll start brewin after we get back from the grocery store.
oh....also, i have a bj's card, so maybe we can get a fuckload of meat real cheap up there!
either way, i guess we'll figure it all out on saturday when you and aaron show up. |
i'm guessing you are talkin to jim, since i ain't got yo numbah.
but if your band stuff gets cancelled or ends early, please feel free to come down....even if you miss the brew session, we will be partyin |
oh....horror flicks!!!!
we got an awesome sexploitation 2 pack of horror flicks ("White Slave" and "Caligula Reincarnated As Hitler")
we also got a few more masters of horror, a box set with seven old school horror flicks, the Tales From The Crypt flicks ("Demon Knight" and "Bordello of Blood").
and of course, i have yety to show you my favorites "M.O.H." episode.... Takashi Miike's "Imprint" |
gonna be a good saturday. |
