One of the pictures I took on a day trip in my hometown. it's an awesome cemetery regardless of season

Nice shot, dude.

My fall so far

Took my son apple picking, because I'm corny like that

I'm going to the Catskills this weekend, can't wait!

apple picking is quintessential to growing up new england style. that kid will thank you for the memories chilling with his family down on the orchard. i still remember vividly some varied scenes from when i was a little one picking an eating apples out in the autumn sun

Damn right. He apparently enjoyed himself, so I'm going to make a habit of it.

Plus the cider is tops.

Love October. Think I'm gonna grab my camera and get some shots too.

And I think Rev should do the same...eh eh?

i got the best of both worlds i live in lynn and nashua nh at the moment. so i get to go out to lynn woods, the cemeteries in the towns down there, salem, marblehead and at the same time get to check out the rural areas up here.

best photo op for fall is on the floating bridge connecting lynn and salem mass. the trees are the best color in that one area, and the pond does a nice job to add to the effect.

I love Salem in the fall. Don't think I'll make it this year though.
However the pics this weekend will make up for it.

It's been so awesome in Dedham lately

beautiful color changes coupled with warm (not hot) breeze

mayhaps I appreciate it more now that I'm leaving that job in three weeks, but hey. I'm about to go work in a municipal park (or rather, its library)

toggletoggle post by immortal13 at Oct 15,2008 12:27am
Think I'm actually gonna try to get to Salem this weekend since I got nothing going on.

a lot of tourists this time of year, but it looks cool regardless, just too many wiccan trash hahaha. check out the marsh behind salem state's southern campus, amazing. think it's called forest river reservation. there's a board walk and you can go out on the marsh if you have good boots/look where your stepping

toggletoggle post by immortal13 at Oct 15,2008 12:30am
I have combat boots. They'll work fine.

I hiked with my mom monday near monadnock. the colors from the cliffs were amazing. the sounds were amazing. the smell of fall was amazing. I will post pictures from the rolls that I didn't ruin when carina brings them back.

Truth.

I had a tendency to fall out of the apple trees. For some reason I thought the apples at the top were better or something. Probably explains a few things...

i love pumpkin pie, so far every time i've gone to get it it's been sold out.

also, check out the ice cream place in down town salem in front of the town hall, old town hall that is. next to some yarn place, they have amazing pumpkin ice cream, a little on the pricey side, but worth it.

october is my fav month. I love the weather, i love the foliage, i love the beer. Apples are pretty close to my favorite food in the entire world, so apple picking is great.. except for the gas pains you get from eating over ten apples... uhhhh....

Dedham huh? I grew up in medfield. Dedham was were my first band practiced on spraugue st. by readville station. I was 14 then. Kinda miss that area. Southie doesn't really have anything leave-ish to show me it's fall. I miss seeing that everytime i went outside as a kid, but all the music is here in the city... oh well, i guess i will have to wait until i am old, i can enjoy the seasons all i want then..

who do you think you are, dwyer?

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Oct 28,2008 12:40pm
i did my carving last week. i forgot how potent the inside of a pumpkin is when you first open it up. i wish i had a picture, i did the hammergear from Type O Negative, it actually came out pretty cool.

Anyone into things brutal would love October in NC. It's deer mating season right now and I must have seen at least half a dozen dead deer in the middle of various roads today. Viva la gore!
