“In ancient times half our children would have died by the age of 20. Now, in the Western world, 98 per cent of them are surviving to 21.”

“Small populations which are isolated can evolve at random as genes are accidentally lost. World-wide, all populations are becoming connected and the opportunity for random change is dwindling. History is made in bed, but nowadays the beds are getting closer together. We are mixing into a glo-bal mass, and the future is brown.”

there's just too many people. not many truly isolated populations. we're very adept at consuming though.

Wow, I remember reading a theory from a famous British scientist stating that 8,000 years from now, if we continue down our current path, the human species will be divided into two types:
1.) Educated, strong, good looking individuals
2.) slouched, hunchback, ugly short humans that do all physical labor

The human race will one day split into two separate species, an attractive, intelligent ruling elite and an underclass of dim-witted, ugly goblin-like creatures, according to a top scientist.

100,000 years into the future, sexual selection could mean that two distinct breeds of human will have developed.

The alarming prediction comes from evolutionary theorist Oliver Curry from the London School of Economics, who says that the human race will have reached its physical peak by the year 3000.

so whos gonna be the ogres and rulers? we know the inbred ruling class made from the old royalty stock wont be tall and good looking come that time. they been inbreeding for centuries and have funny things like gates disease (bipocular vision) and look like they have no nationality. if they really are reptilian humanoids like is theorised, they will shapeshift into the tall beautiful shape, but since they're reptilian aliens, that means all we got is ogre humans ruled by alien reptilians

Another "top scientist" said our physical development will slow down as we become more dependant on machines to do physical labor. Its our brains that will develop. Eventually we'll be ugly fuckers with giant heads to accomodate our huge brains.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In the 1600's fat chicks were considered hot.

Fat chicks aren't considered hot anymore? DAMN!!!

ever wonder why sci-fi aliens are portrayed with frail bodies and large heads?

heard about this on the radio today, interesting,
apparently the only place that evolution is still occurring is in africa
wheres that NIGGER gent?

we'll all be like Itchy on the Itchy and Scratchy episode "Planet of the Aches".

Evolution is not over, it's a constant process, just not very visible within a few generations.

If you're speaking of physical mutations, it's true that we probably won't change all that much, but we still do have a lot of vestigial organs that cause more problems than good now (appendix, wisdom teeth, etc.) that will likely disappear over time. Plague is also a big factor; for example how a small segment of the population seems to be resistant to HIV naturally. We'll evolve, just not in a totally obvious way.

i do think it's true that we will become less physical since we depend on machines for a lot these days (especially travel).

We're entering into 4th density after 2012.

"i am your density...........your destiny"

Genetic evolution is now less significant than cultural evolution that has left us a real shit mess, imho.
