so a few months ago my sister brought to my attention 3 plants were growing in the garden in our backyard. we dont really know how they got there. my mom still denies that they were her seeds even though thats her "spot". at first i was figuring that they would either be all males or die off due to the weather but those fuckers are all female and they are all starting to bud! my parents are a little worried about them because they are starting to stank pretty bad. from the looks of it might be some pretty decent nugs. it seems to be budding a lot on the top of the plants where its getting more sun. there was also a bird house over two of the plants so they arent growing as strong as the third.

anyways, my question is, what should i do at this point? just let them go? bring them inside? ive also heard of a million methods to get them to bud more such as bending, keeping them in a dark room to "shock" them. but i have absolutely no growing experience. if anyone on here could be of some help i will surely come hook it up with some buds once this thing starts producing!

if you want to keep them, leave them outside but try to plant some strong smelling flowers nearby to try to mask the smell. if you want them all to grow strong, try transplanting the 2 that don't get as much sun out of the shade. the season change will get the light cycle to about 12 light/12 dark in the next few weeks which is the light cycle used for budding by indoor growers.

i'd say keep them if you want to risk it, and just make sure the 2 plants that are weaker get more sun. also, fence them off if you can. deer love to eat that shit if they find it. speaking of which, how tall are the plants now? once the 12/12 cycle hits they should exclusively bud and not produce anymore vegetative growth.

the two that are close together that grew under the birdhouse are around 3-4 feet tall the other one is 4-5 has way more budding on top but the bottom is weak due to the area its in. its got a couple yellow leaves down there. keep in mind these were never really taken care of, watered. and they look decent. from my research i can tell they are sativa. i think i might try getting some trash bags and keeping them out of the sun for a higher yield.

the dark only works in equal doses of light. high amounts of exposure to UV rays forces the plant to produce its own sunscreen(thc) and the buds can only produce it in the dark.

trying to control how dark it is to the plants outside is way more difficult than an indoor plant. they should be fine just growing. if anything get some enriched bat guano for the soil so the plants are properly fertilized. that should take care of the dying leaves. you can also clip the bottom fan leaves that aren't producing any buds. this promotes nutrients getting to the buds as opposed to "useless" stems and leaves.

sac's got it man...

it's a long-running passion of mine

Ok...

Don't uproot them after they started budding, it will shock them, and they will die. If you get scared and have to do something just harvest from them, and take a top cutting (about a foot if you can, right were two branches meet) There are extensive sites that explain how to "clone" plants from cuttings, and you can do this inside, it will definately turn out female, and will be much safer than outside in your backyard. I don't know how much room you guys have outside but bud stinks. And people will notice if they are close, and if they dont steal it, they will call the cops. Believe that. (unless they are your real good friends, and even then they might steal some).

Doing it outside just isnt the best idea in a densely populated area, i know that wasnt your intention to begin with, but you should act before something negative happens...

If you want some advice on an indoor operation i think i have been told a thing or two about it from someone, so drop me a line, although i personally would never do such a thing due to the fact that it is wrong. And it is wrong because its illegal. and illegal things are bad. unless your in maine, rhodee island, vermont, california and a couple of others, but thats besides the point. drugs are bad.

Hit them with fertilizer. Water up some bat guano, some composted cow shit and throw in a shock treatment of miracle grow every couple weeks. Plant some marigolds and mint around them to confuse the stench. Water regularly. Deny everything.

and i personally have heard worm castings work real good too. a little pricey, but they are readily available.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Aug 18,2008 6:19pm
i heard miracle grow is no good for ganga. I stick by the worm castings.. works well.

toggletoggle post by SacreligionNLI at Aug 18,2008 6:20pm
miracle-gro = gross tasting plants.

ouch is right with the population density. it'd be a bad idea to keep them if you're in a city or have neighbors that can see your garden with ease

toggletoggle post by Conservationist  at Aug 18,2008 6:21pm
If all you do is miracle-gro, that's right, you get bitter plants. Note the time interval and other ingredients.

Your absolutely right, i just think that for less work and the same money on worm/bat castings you dont even need to worry, and have results that are at least just as good.

at my 2nd birthday, there is a huge plant growing from the compost pile

didnt read the thread but look up drying and harvesting techniques and do whatever you want. worst thing you could do is ruin a batch of dank nuggets by not drying it or harvesting properly.

water every night , and get rid of the birds nest\'s do not move them plants . trim the big leaves off 0nce a month they suck up the all the growth . use mirical grow before the budding starts . to dry out wait till the first frost and remove buds put in brown paper bag for 2 weeks and 2 more weeks in a glass jar . open glass once a day to let in air and this will form the crystals . the plant is a weed it grows very easily just add water and look out for those god damn deer.

p.s. get a book tp help you
