everyone's been racing towards netbooks and forgetting to pack more power into a lappy. this ridge looks awesome.

That thing is killer. Holy video memory.

if they put this into a 15"... it's not just te video ram. they have turbo memory, 8GB of ddr3, and a quadcore in a laptop. Plus, a wacom. amazing.

thing would make a rediculas recording laptop. With all that virtual memory you could record probably 30ish tracks at once, all with a great sample rate. Uhhhh...... home recording would be silly good.

A mobile quad core chip will drain the battery pretty quick. 12 cell battery needed for sure if you want to run unplugged for any length of time.

My guess is it will rarely be used away from a desk with a power plug. I like Lenovos, however. You can get 'em for $800 on sale and they outlast any dell or Crapintosh. Their only real weakness is the keyboard.

all things that I had to have replaced 2 or more times on my IBM.
