I have a feeling that there might only be one stage. the downstairs stage starting at 5:30 with MH going on at 10:30pm. the reason I say this is cause I was up in the second stage and they were doing some renovations up there.

Arsonist get all the girls 5:15-5:45 raced I, kids sang. The band was wearing hawaiin clothing. Then I raced out. Don't recognize any of them from the othere show.except maybe the drummer, but he looks like on of wals of jerichos 15 different drummers.

Stick to your guns 5:30-6:00 very plesent colors on that stage today.

After the burial 6:00-6:30 again, ran in, shot, ran out didn't really pay attention.

Winds of plague 6:15-6:45 when ever I see them, I think to myself how awefully hard it must be to act tough while legend of zelda music plays in the background. Still their new CD is IMHO music better than the new one by label mates whitechapel. Yeah they look more and more like bleeding through every single day, but still, they play some pretty sick musics. The girl got up at one point and sang into the audience too. They ended really early... Like 10+ minutes early.

Abigail williams 6:45- 7:15 the mousey little keyboardist kept saying "excuse me excuse me" at me. When I finally looked up it was cause she thought I was doing the monitors. Interesting black metal sort of mixture. There were a lot of piano parts too. The crowd completely shifted when they went on. No moshing only horns tossing.

Misery Signals 7:00-7:30 I sort of recognize a bunch of their songs. The whole thing was soooo bass heavy that you could really get much out of the parts that they had any kick drum in at all. I think I heard 3 songs from the magnum and malice CD. When I stood on the opposite side of the huge bass speakers, I could hear a lot more. Amazing that they have had ever member (except the singer) since inception. That might not be true, but I think it is. man, I wished I could have heard the music... not just the bass.

Arsis 7:30-8:00 the new drummer was pretty damn good. Not darren machine like good. Also james looks like he lost 40lbs. Very gaunt looking. Maybe it was just the mix there, but after listening to the CD and then live, they were missing 1/2 the guitar parts. Something had to be wrong.


Parkway Drive 7:45-8:15 they were a lot more brutal and australian then I would have guessed. They seened like good enough gents. The crowd really dug them so it made for some nice crowd participation shots. After the 3 songs I couldn't take the bss anymore and headed to the balcony to wait out the ear pain, caught the tail end of arsis's set too.

Emmure 8:30-900 I thought it was weird that they were after parkway drive. The crowd was crazy into them I guess it makes sense. I got stuck near the stingers feet. I couldn't hear his vocals at all and he was moving around reallly fast and twitch. so it was like being beside one of those monsters in jacob's ladder. It was amazing the sheer number of people chanting along.I couldn't believe how many people were singing along. And that sampler was like abortion causingly bassy.

It makes no sense to me that all these core bands are opening for Motorhead. Who booked this monstrosity?

Well, it's stupid. Motorhead doesn't need 21896598 opening bands. They can play a show by themselves and it would still rule.

and chuck (themetalscene) gave some kid 1/2 his water. after darkest hour that now hydrated kid called me over to ask if chuck had anything. anything like herpes. reminded me of the episode where jerry can't stop obsessing about the tooth bruush that fell in the toilet.

Darkest hour 9:15-10 they sounded good, but if you saw them last time, you pretty much know what was up. Though I though they ended with sadist nation. Last time. I know that song and this isn't it... But wait, maybe if you play all the bass from the track and nothing else... Oh yes, there it is. This sound system is seriously nothing but the bass. Have I whined about it enough?

The Palladium sucks.

what a great show last night. motorhead took the stage as the guy was ripping my ticket. i successfully avoided seeing any of the other bands while not missing any of motorhead. they were incredible. i can't complain about the setlist, it was really great. there were some songs i really wanted to hear that they didn't play, but that always happens, especially with bands that have been around for more than 30 years. highlights for me included killed by death, stay clean, and doctor rock.

to top it off, after motorhead left the stage, my favorite zappa song started playing on the PA (broken hearts are for assholes). i probably listened to that song 30 times in the past week, so hearing it right after motorhead was awesome.

Motorhead RULED! I showed up late to avoid most of the horrendous shit before them. Still was there long enough to hear Darkest Hour though. Awful. Motorhead cleansed my soul!

I, for one, am incredibly glad the Palladium is back to getting the metal shows. FUCK Mark's Showplace! The Palladium is a kick ass place to see shows.
